Amazing Ace
Hello all, Discuss military ground force vehicles here. You can post pictures, videos, or comments about armored vehicles. If you are interested but don't know where to start, go ahead and shoot me a question. I'd love to teach you all! I'll start, here's a Renault FT which my favorite tank. It's the first tank with an operational turret. The design of the vehicle is now the basis of modern vehicles, as it has many features still seen on modern tanks. Oddly enough, It IS the basis for the first Renault Tractor, one of the first widely (kind off) sold tractors in Europe. I predates the Fordson Model N in Europe, a tractor that wasn't seen this far east until WW2. The only competition this vehicle had in agriculture were the traction engines and threshers. Going for the obvious here. They are a workhorse for many Military and law enforcement. There are a multitude of variations as well. Tell me in you have seen variations of this *MURDOC*
Amazing Ace
Haha that looks like one of those weird Land Rover conversions. Pretty militaristic city vehicle. Even the lights are protected with cage. EDIT: Just checked the image description, looks like I was correct. Even the lights are protected with cage. EDIT: Just checked the image description, looks like I was correct. Used to be a very regular sight in Belfast and Northern Ireland in general. While you still see them, they are no longer picking up shoplifters. They are used when sh*t is really about to hit the fan and rioting is afoot or a raid is in order. More pandas on the roads these days which is a very welcome sight so the need of armour is a bit more proportionate. Historically the land rovers were a more urban gray/green drab and used by armed forces, but as the paint in the picture shows, things are more civil...well...mostly Remember, Land Rovers have backup.
