I am really dumbfounded that a lot of heist host, even high level ones, didn't know that they can save it as an player saved outfit to be used in a heist.

Even more so, to those who know about it but claims that they don't need it, then a few moments later they die like an idiot. cough* pac standard finale cough*..

at the same time though you don't actually need it all the time. sometimes it's a disadvantage

dunno why most random host normally choose crew/leader outfit than player saved . there are few things i've encountered where the host set the leader ( style or full ) :

~ he make us wear lame outfit ( e.g wearing shady outfit with bag mask )

~ choosing my mask aganist my will ( e.g i wanna wear princess robot bubble gum mask yet he choose me wear carnival mask )

~ the host is a " positive player " , meaning they hates anything that's overpowered and they take skill too seriously ( e.g host set leader style . he change the outfit into heavy utility vests and i'm ready first , but then he immediately change into stealty theme outfit and send me a message that says " heavy utility vest are for pussies " )

~ the host likes standard bank robber outfit ( i.e wearing a suit with a tie and a balaclava )

~ the host hate heavy utility vest's drawback , claiming it does not change anything due to " the slower you move , the easier you will get hit "

yup , " positive player " hates me because i've used too much " scrub " move ( phone abuse , tank abuse , kuruma abuse , BP helmet , etc )

but now they're on heist with their proclaimed " skillz "

Even though the vest makes you slower, it's more safer and easier to get the job done. It's better to take your time instead of rushing like a idiot and getting killed.

Technically the Heavy Armour vest is the one that gives you protection. The Utility Vest just looks cool and does nothing.

Indeed. There's a lot of random inexperienced players who cause Heists to fail and could really benefit with having their attention drawn to this.

Missed an opportunity to show the utility vest on a dead player for effect.

It's a debate worth it's own thread if we put it this way:

What's better?

- light/normal clothing + body armour = speed to move between cover

- heavy armour outfit + body armour = more hits to take you down, less speed, but you can stand around shooting cops with a minigun like a Terminator

Plot twist: you can leave your menu open and spam armour & snacks with either costume.

You can also spam X/Square to jump-run with the vest on instead of dragging on at a snail's pace.

Most of the fails I've seen are idiots that either ignore the objective text, blow up the objective, or just run in thinking they're Rambo and rush into the middle of the fight, not taking cover or anything. Utility vest or not, they're mincemeat. I do set it to player-saved outfits when the Heavy outfits aren't available as an option, but then randoms tend to wear stupid things like only running shorts and Pogo mask. I personally don't use the vests most of the time. Then again, I actually know what's going on, and like to keep idiots from taking vehicle objectives like the Hydra or Valkyrie and crash it somehow or fly off with no support.

Exactly, Heavy Vest or not, how a player acts will outcome a different result.

A non-heavy vest user still can survive after being shredded like a salad by terminators just because he packed up some armors and snack and didn't forget to use cover. A heavy-vested player still can easily get killed if he goes all out in the open air and take all the bullets like cocaine-overdosed Tony Montana.
