Yeah, the Zion is the best, the Exemplar next best and then after that, you can consider the Felon and any others. This FACT (game files & other people's tests) is generally based on race performance. If you don't race, just buy the one that you think you'll look good in, or can customize to your taste, etc.

The Zion is a piece of crap. It looks great but that's it. It isn't fast and the way it handles is so mundane, I'd feel less iffy by calling it a vacuum cleaner. Sure doesn't feel like a car at all. And it's based on the M6, it's should at least be fast, let alone have a V10 and sound like heaven. But it's neither of those. It's just a basic econobox to get you from point A to point B looking like you own a performance car when you don't.

 

Get a Schwartzer.

 

It's about preference as well. If you have two drivers with almost identical skill level in regards to one specific track and one of them is in a Zion, the Zion driver will most certainly win. It being a piece of crap is a matter of pure opinion. You say it looks great, I say it looks hideous. That rear is hideous.

 

I don't think any cars are an exact replica of their real life life counterpart aesthetically or performance wise.

 

Yeah it does come down to preference but it gets a bit iffy when we're talking performance, mainly handling wise. The Zion can be sharp in the corners but that doesn't mean it's more engaging to drive compared a lesser Felon GT. It just feels so dull. You see automotive critics going on about steering feel all of the time. A car can be fast and light but if the steering doesn't give you much feedback, the review is not going to be that positive at all unless it's a classic.

 

And I can see why you'd hate the rear. It's not for everyone. It's just like the BMW E63/E64's "Bangle-Butt" it's just weird but I like it.

 

But anyways, I don't want to see replicas of cars but I do want to see great representations of cars. For example, the Zion XS parodies the M6 good as far as looks but as far as performance it doesn't. I don't want a carbon copy of the M6's performance but I do want a fast coupe with lively steering, a sense of weight, and a beautiful exhaust note. That's not too much to ask for, is it? To put it to you bluntly, they could've copied and pasted the F620's performance and exhaust note for the Zion XS and it would just feel, right. It would parody the M6 almost perfectly without being a carbon copy. Get my point?

 

Or how the Carbonizzare is almost the perfect parody of a Ferrari California even though if you put them side by side, they look very different.

No offence but they can't have been that skilled mate, I own the top 5 across both characters and my testing put the Zion on top, I used a few circuits too, check my race record btw...also check the spreadsheet in my sig from broughy.

It depends. In a race with a lot of tight corners, the Zion might win.

But as soon as there's a little space to let her run free, the Felon will devour an entire pack of Zions for breakfast. With a side of Exemplar.

The extra mass (it's quite a bit more) is both an advantage and disadvantage. Zion is still better for races, but the manual shifter noise seems to have gone on my one.

 

I don't see any disvantage of the weight, the only advantage is that you can ram other cars easier, almost like Armored Kuruma.

lol. I understand how a basic concept like weight affects a car. If you don't then you shouldn't be commenting on cars and their performance in regards to it. If you "don't see any disadvantage" to weight then you're pretty ignorant on the matter. Weight always affects handling. Weight distribution affects handling. How high the center of gravity does too. It's a concept that even a novice on the subject should be aware of.

 

The stats on the sites in the game are straight bullsh*t and are not indicative of performance at all. Regardless of that, they're all straight line measurements which don't mean sh*t for anything other than driving in a straight line. A car with a slower 0-60 time can also have enough power output to overtake something with a faster 0-60 time where it starts to lose out and not put out enough to keep up the acceleration so even that means sh*t all pretty much.

 

I make one comment about the stats being sh*t in the game and meaningless and that people not understanding how weight affects a car shouldn't be commenting on it and you think it means I'm ignorant on the subject. Shows what you know.

Yeah, Windsor's mass is 2800, which is double the Zion's at 1400, whereas the Felon and Exemplar are 1800. Makes quite a noticeable difference when approaching corners from a higher speed as well as how she handles when powering through them. Felon GT is actually a worse performer so didn't consider.

Either way, I sold my Panto (my only Compact class car) to allow the space for the Windsor, and now I'm thinking I should get it back.

 

Especially so as I'd set the license plate to "JUMBOJET" - which is quite fitting for the Panto.

It has nothing to do with 'skill' as I'm pretty sure I'm experienced. It has everything to do with preference. The Zion may be the best performer on paper in it's class but that doesn't mean crap. It still feels like the steering wheels connected to the wheels via cement and I've still had more fun driving a Felon or a Windsor.

 

You kids kills me. Everything's about stats, everything's about 0-60 times, everything's about top speed. Nobody gives a sh*t about steering feel or the way the car makes you feel or it's unique personality or any of that, that gibberish I guess. Am I right? It's sad. This racing bullsh*t has really f*cked sh*t up hasn't it?

 

I couldn't give any less of a sh*t about racing, I like spirited driving. One of my favorite cars right now is the Carbonizzare. Not because of the top speed, not because of the acceleration, and not because of how sharp it corners compared to other cars. I like it because it looks the part, has a fully retractable top, and I can simply hop in it and have fun. The steering isn't objectively perfect. So what? It's fun, it's direct, and it goes wherever you point it in the funnest way possible. There's oversteer. So what? Who enjoys cars but hates oversteer? Who? I've seen people complain about this.

 

All people care about are spec sheets. Oh which car is the fastest, which car has the highest speed? Everything's about bloody racing.
