    • Very - I have the top car of every class, even a Bison for Vans and Sadler for Utilities.
      41
    • Well - I have one of the top 5 cars fully modded for each class.
      43
    • OK - I have a fully modded top 5 car for all popular race classes.
      46
    • Badly - I only have a car for select few classes that may or may not be modded.
      18
    • Terrible - All I got is the stock choices.

Do they have a Vans class for PS3? I haven't seen it and looked through dozens of different races for it.

I got a fully upgraded car for every race class beside maybe Utility. Is the Lifeguard Blazer Utility? I got that one but it can't be upgraded.

At one point I even had a Glendale fully tuned just for that one race you need it.

I don't have the best car for each class but I use the cars I quite like and are one of the faster ones in the class.

I have nothing for Supers - pretty good selection for Sports Classics and Muscle though... and more sedans than you can shake a stick at.

Not really that into racing on GTAO but i've had a few surprise wins by avoiding the Destruction Derby that commences five seconds after the start of most races.

I used to have the best in class for everything buy now I only own cool cars so I often enter races in sub par cars. It doesn't matter to me anymore because I know I'm no carrying around dead weight unfun cars in my garage just to win a race once in a blue moon. I felt so sorry for the 3000 wins 3000 loses racer guy last night who pulled a shafter out in a sedan race, sure he won the the race but my pink glendale with roofracks won the awesome competition and 2nd place at the same time.

You need to make a race with a large size grid to have vans enabled, not many races do. But you can certainly make them. Pity most of the fast vans other than the gang van got blacklisted on the last patch so it kind of ruined a very close and fun class.

I use to have top of class for each class but I don't race anymore. Now I just have what I want and I'm still not happy with that. Having only 30 vehicles is boring.

Well, I have my wire/line cutters, sharp needle and oil can ready before every race commencement.

The truth is, not much! :)

Mostly because 80% of the random races I enter, the other players can't drive for sh*t. I can woop them all with the stock options!

FW3's IMPORTANT RACING TIDBIT #2: KNOWING YOUR TRACK

Winning races in GTA is less about which car you've chose, though that's important, too, but more about how familiar you are with the track you're racing on.

My football coach used to preach, "Practice the play until it's first nature – like you can't imagine ever not knowing it." Same for racing. Know you're track, cupcake!

The subtle turns and bumps of the road... the eloquent ability to turn while accelerating... the devilish skill of using another player's car going into a curve... knowing how to drop a streetlight for the racers behind you.

There's so much to GTA racing beyond the ride, itself.

...NEXT: FW3's IMPORTANT COP TIDBIT #46: HOW TO GET THE COPS TO LIKE YOU BETTER USING YOUR BODY

With my main character it would almost count as an obsession, Gang Burrito, Sadler, Rhapsody, everything that is needed to be on top of every class, sometimes with alternatives if races would render one vehicle useless or at least less-competitive, for example if an offroad track uses extensive mudding so that the Sanchez is likely to drown.

With my second character I am happy to just have something competitive for the more common race types.

The only fast "vans" are not blacklisted

The gang burrito, bison, youga, Bobcat xl and minivan are all storable lol

They do. I've never seen it used ever though.

I rarely see Sedan races, let alone Vans.

Random racing in GTA is sh*t. One thing one one thing you never should do is stop and wait for the person who crashed. I learned that the hard way. Now I usually drive a standard or armoured Kuruma in races because ransoms can't drive.

Except for vans I'm stocked and ready with a fully upgraded vehicle in each racing class. As for ability to play a rac without getting hung up on street lights and other obstructions? Not so much...

My whole car collection is here in case you want to critique me.

Definitely well prepared, if not very. Regardless since most people can't corner worth crap and I like actual races, not huge straights, my W/L is stupidly high. Oh, and because if you set it to sports, this happens:

Well, just because your fast doesn't mean you can just ram others off the road. Might make you win, but makes you look like a c*ck... I would leave that lobby instantly seeing you do that, but maybe thats just me overreacting as usual :)

Under real life race regulations, a lapped car has to give way to leading cars approaching it from behind.

Since the Kuruma has no intention of following known conventions, I think ramming him is fair game here.

So ramming a lapped car because they didn't give way is also under real life racing regulations? Just trying to figure out where you went from real life to fiction, because I've never seen a regulation for racing that allows for violently ramming any car in any circumstance.

When no one is following the set of conventions (not rules. There's no race governing body for random races), there is nothing stopping anyone from doing anything.

It's not about "ripping part of the rules out", it's about "discarding the entire set of conventions because nobody else gives a damn or follow them".

Well.

I have a few top of their class cars, but I also have some classes with cars that are on the pace, but not the fastest (felon, for example) just because always having the top of their class cars is boring and not a challenge.

I got like two cars that fully upgraded, and I still win a lot of races.

Mainly because everyone races with catchup on, so you might as well go on foot and still be able to keep up.

I used to have the best car in each class (yes, even a fully modded Sadler...) but I don't really race much anymore so I've slowly sold them off as I've needed space for other things. I still have my Entity (sold the Zentorno) and Elegy, and realistically 90% of GTA racing is sport/super so that's good enough for me.

Being in a racing crew, I have pretty much all bases covered - but I won't buy a vehicle I don't like...so I've left myself a little light in certain classes. For example, I don't like any of the high performing Sedans - so I just take my Warrener out for a thrash and try my best to keep up with the characterless cars at the front! ...I also refuse to put off-road tyres on an 'on-road' car just for the extra grip - my ride has to be a thing of beauty, even if it leaves me with a slight disadvantage in terms of performance!

Eh, none of those choices really reflect what I have, so I'll explain it:

- Fully modded cars for: Super, Sport, Muscle, Sport Classic, Off-Road (sanchez)

Even if I'm using a stock car, I'm still pretty damn competitive.

I've got the top cars in every class except for Compacts and Utilities, or bikes if we're counting motorcycle races.

Supers - Zentorno, Entity xF, Turismo, Cheetah, Infernus, Adder, Bullet

Supers - Elegy, Jester, Alpha, Coquette

Coupes - Exemplar and Felon

SUV - Dubsta and Granger

Off Road - Dune Buggy, 6x6, Insurgent

Sports Classics - Sterling GT and Z Type

Vans - Bison

No compacts, utilities, or bikes though cause I don't want to waste the garage space.
