Although the matchmaking system is a great big steaming heap of ... because whenever I host a mission, even the popular ones, and have matchmaking set to open before even starting the job I very rarely manage to get other random players to join even when I do the auto-invite. So the only way I get to play missions with randoms is when I join a contact mission, but I don't get to choose what the mission is so too often it ends up being Rooftop Rumble / Titan of a Job / The Los Santos Connection, which I still enjoy but they do get repetative.

It's actually a pretty easy mission, it could easily be done single player but the game doesn't give you an option. It's fun target practice with the laser's cannons. Using the rockets is just too easy.

Start in a public lobby, not a invite only.

Autoinvite will get everyone in the pub, and then spider out to their friends.

What was the bug on this mission? I've played this a ton of times before with no problems.

After you shot down all the planes & choppers, it said return the lasers back to Sandy Shores.

 

When you got there, nothing happened. Couldn't end the mission even if you parked directly on top of the mission completion marker.

Sadly that method doesn't work for me I've tried numerous times and I just sit there waiting and waiting and waiting and get bored then join a random mission.

 

I'm half wondering if the matchmaking system takes into account your level as well as your other character stats (stamina,strength etc.) because it's been this way as long as I can remember. Most random missions I join are hosted by players under level 150 it seems, and I rarely see another player close to or above my level 527.

Weirdly, I've had the mission pop up a few days before the update. We failed a couple of times, then the other guy left at the 3rd restart, I was able to finish the mission alone.

It was gone for a very long time something like four or five months before returning shortly before Heists launched.

It was fixed at least during or before the Heists update.

Yeah it was definitely fixed after the heist updates. Been available for a while now.

Yes But if u have some one who is afc u can still do it and finish it by urself. U just have to land ur plane and then get in the second one after its all said and done.

^ Yeah I've had someone quit on me and managed to finish it OK, even though the prompts got a bit messed up after I delivered the first one.

Same here, showing up a couple of weeks now but haven't played it cuz of 2 players

I really would like to see Pickup Sticks return. That one never let you get complacent.

Played it yesterday with a level 20. He just flew around while I did all the work, and when it came time to return the planes he just crashed headlong into the runway and failed it.
