Kuruma drivers don't drive it, they wear it like it's a second skin layer. It's the yoga pants car. Thank God I started playing before the Heists update because I'm sure the temptation to get it & use it all the time instead of spending my time on improving my skills would have been to hard to resist. A few days ago I created a second character & started doing contact missions. I can buy her a Kuruma but I decided that I want to reexperience the full challenge of ranking up like in the good old days so I bought her a Hakuchou & I love it.

I use mine to solo missions that really should be a 2 player job, like Death From Above. Just drive in, clear a path, photograph the target through your window slits, and get out of dodge.

We Are Ninja

I don't even own one of the damn things.

Sold mine yesterday. Cheapens the game during missions, and makes you seem extra vaginal in FR, IMHO. To each his own, though.

Waaah, I hate a car that I don't use! It's ruining contact missions for me because other people use it to stay alive during a mission so they're not useless; it's ruining the game for me because I know that someone somewhere is doing it! Seriously, bunch of whiney BS. I can understand complaining about players using it to grief in freemode, but contact missions? No one's forcing you to do it that way, and no one's forcing you to play with other players that do it that way. And better yet, what's the difference between using an almost impenetrable car to get through/grind missions and using a flying death machine (Buzzard/Savage/Hydra/Valkyrie) from high above? I mean aside from when you need to be on the ground to collect something or whatever and not having to expend your own ammo.

I'll use it mainly for tough solo missions like Death From Above - hate that mission. Otherwise, I'll mainly use it if I'm feeling lazy. Most of the time, I'd rather use a vehicle I really like to drive all armored up, and ducking/use it for cover when needed. You don't really need a Kuruma most of the time, if you're used to ducking down while driving.

I use it when I don't have a lot of time to waste in missions or if low levels are present in the lobby, other then that not very much. Car sure has it's use, but only playing that way must definetly be boring.

Nope, I used to do that but I realized that it takes a lot of the challenge and fun out of the game.

Thus, I went back to my Surano.

I use a bicycle.

Get on my level.

Yes. Other than bicycle means the player is pussy.

They just drive in, kill everything while taking no damage and go onbto the next mission.

And then? Where is the problem? You think the players must play according to your wishes? There are players who prefer not to waste time and complete the missions quickly to earn money.

Players play according to their own way, not according to yours.

No. Don't think that at all. But two weekends ago I wanted to team up with people to play some missions and every single player has an armoured kuruma and just hammedred through the missions. It was totally dull and not fun.

I asked them why they didn't actually play the missions. They all answered that they wanted more money and quicker. When I asked for what, none of them had an answer.

So they grinded missions that none of them wanted to do to get money that none of them knew what to do with.

I don't want to change their ways, but I do want to meet players who want to play the missions rather than grind through them.

I like to make money, but I also like to play the game.

Pretty much never.Had to break it out last night because of some seriously laggy BS during a heist set up that kept going on.I dislike using it but I have it in reserve for some missions just in case.

I also dislike seeing others use them too.Takes the fun out of missions and people end up grinding money in missions that bore them to buy some digital stuff or to say they have lots of money on an Internet forum. But hey,it's their choice,I can only advise. If they want to grind missions in that thing and take away the fun it's up to them.

Played the contact mission where you have to crack the safe and steal a boat at the docks with a random (believe it was Dry Docking).

As soon as we started this guy got in his armoured Kuruma and tried to run me over.

I got inside the building fighting the merryweather and proceeded to the safe, while I can still see him moving around fast on the map meaning he is still in his car.

I threw some teargas grenades at the stairs to protect myself against upcoming soldiers and while I was cracking the safe I suddenly heard the roaring sound of a car engine.

To my surprise this guy managed to get his car up the stairs, into the room where I was and trying to run me over AGAIN.

While I was frustrated at that point, I couldn't help laughing cause it was beyond any belief how addicted this dude was to his 4 wheel tank.

Luckily for me I was just finished cracking the safe so I could run downstairs to get to the boat.

Needless to say I didn't finish the mission to deliver the boat to the marina, while instead I just sailed to open sea and got myself a drink, waiting for the douchebag to leave.

After some time and a few hate messages I just got out of the boat, blew it up and left.

No problem with using the Kuruma for contact missions, but some people? SMH.

It's fun to complete the missions that require the challenge but when there are players who need money, they can not afford to play according to your way. There are people who do not have a lot of time to devote to this game and we all know it is hard to get money quickly on GTA:O.

It depends

I know every mission like the back of my hand, so i dont need the car, but i will use it if i want to grind for cash solo,

I do agree with the OP this car can make people dependent on it for protection instead of looking for cover and figuring out how the hell do i do this

Noobs, maybe. Veterans realize the benefits of this awesome ride and don't need to get out and battle on-foot like we've been doing since DAY 1. FFS. Especially veterans like me who enjoy Hard difficulty, but cringe @ AI auto aim ability while I'm FA'ing they asses.

Plus, only a handful of missions let you do EVERYTHING from the safety of your car and those missions are low rank, NOOB missions.

I use it for a few missions like Los Santos Connection and Rooftop Rumble. For most other missions it stays at home.

I make it a point, for myself, to use any other car when the moment is opportune simply because diversity is the spice of life. Using one vehicle, doesn't matter which, for any and all purposes sounds kind of dull.

I don't think the car itself really "cheapens" the experience though, many people simply rely on it too much. Can't really blame them because you just can't get much cheaper than the AI in this game. It automatically locks onto you and shoots laser-guided bullets as soon as you pop out of cover to land headshots on them.

Against a few enemies it's not bad at all but against large groups... That sh*t got tedious fast. What I wouldn't give for an actual challenge... But that's not going to happen. Instead, for those few missions, I'll take the Kuruma any day of the week.

Agree mostly OP.

I know all the missions intimately, I've done pistols only, I've done buzzards only as well.. my play style is in between and or a mix.

I used the armored car in missions for the first few days, and the easy mode- novilty wore off.

It doesn't bother me when other players use it in contact missions though.

Like a few others have mentioned, I strongly prefer my sh*tzu.

Only time mine sees the light of day is for certain heist setups where I KNOW that level 16 is gonna take a dirt nap otherwise.

Well, you are. By the time you drive around waiting for a contact mission, get into one, wait for the host to start and then actually get into the mission it can be a couple of minutes. If you then quit, you have another loading screen and then the same cycle of waiting around. You could literally do this for the majority of your game trying to find players who want to pkay the mission and not grind.

So yes, you are forced to play with them most times.

Really? You can't see what the benefits are of driving a car that is nearly invulnerable to small arms fire?

Tbh I rarely use it except as other have said if I want to earn money fast and just want to do a mission quickly.

I usually otherwise take my time and enjoy missions. Its just more fun to race up to a drug deal in a muscle car, slide to a stop before getting out, take cover and just have a gunfight. It just feels cooler than sitting in an armoured car.

I particularly like many of geralds earlier missions or missions like 'water the vineyard' or the one where you have to kill the lost mc in the graveyard.

If I'm solo grinding I use all the help I can get to make the mission go quickly to give me more time to do other things whilst waiting for the 15 minute mark, buf if I'm actively playing with randoms I just drive whatever car I happen to be running around in, and don't always call Pegasus unless the situation calls for it like when everyone dies and I'm left to finish the job.

I used to use the Kuruma a lot. That was before I bought my Savage.

Nowadays if I'm in serious mode I grab my Zentorno, because it's fast enough to get me to a helipad quickly, and if things go sour or I got a aircraft-incompatible mission, there's always the bulletproof back that I can use to play Kuruma v0.5.

Note to OP: If you don't like how people are getting the job done in a PUBLIC contact mission session, switch session until you're satisfied, go solo or play with friends.

I sold my Kuruma; I simply don't like the car; it's a matter of personal preference.

I've grown to hate driving it as well, and would not use it unless it's a heist (setup) or I deem it really beneficial. It has all the traction of a soap.
