Ratsorizzo
Who else is sick of 20,000 product textures? If I see one more thing like a cheetos Franklin hoodie I am going to scream. Starting to wonder if companys who make things like Monster drinks are in on it.
Arman Ossi Loko
Honestly, I've never been a big fan of retextures. The custom models are gonna make their way to the world soon. Though, for now it's a nope.
b0ssVenom
Considering the amount of texture mods compared to older games, I'm worried the number of modellers (not those who grab models from Forza and then port them to GTA) will be lower than in previous generations. That's what I'm worried about. Too many kids making Doritos Sanchez's and no batmobiles. Arkham Knight is coming, imagine that car in V!! willywill
We really need some mega thread of the people working on it to possibly give some progress on car mods. Right now there is no metric for determining how far we have come and how much we have left to do until car mods are available. So people can't really grasp how long its going to take and might lose hope. I'm a patient guy though, I can wait for it but still there's no telling how much further along we have until we have them. NT Authority and the OpenIV devs, the Zmoddler guy, they should all be working together on this, not against each other in any way. Ratsorizzo
It's really tough to get help or anything from other modders, they won't work together like they used to. As I said on GTAMods "...nowadays modders are so competitive, !'m gonnna make a map of Westeros and instead of kingdom names add trainer and mod names. Creating mods will not give you Pewdiepie internet fame." There is alot of animosity. Edited June 13, 2015 by Ratsorizzo

ffzero58
On the texture front, there are some decent ones. However, most of the texture mods are a mishmash of the author's interests, not really the general public's interest. The OpenIV texture modding workflow is dead easy. Export texture, modify it, re-import and you're done. Just wish there was a directory somewhere that would list the location of a texture on the GTA V map (i.e billboards, adverts, road signs etc..) and the location & name of the texture dict when browsing in OpenIV. That would be great. I may make a new thread and hopefully we'll have a central DB. Edit: Forgot to add that modeling would add/modify UV Maps and we can have new textures for any new or existing model. MarshallRawR
People are modding what they can with the tools available at the time, no need to blame them. As far as I know, Good-NTS basically said that it might take a while, but who knows, it might come around soon. NTA made some good progress too. Thi is my m and m short...err....shirt..cause hes the bestest wapper everrr.... seriously, some modders know about alot of them but don't want to share so they can make their GIlmore GIrls billboard. It's real sh*tty out there right now. People are modding what they can with the tools available at the time, no need to blame them.
