Hi.

My k/d is 2.74 and rising rapidly. :)

Its a decent k/d, by anyones standards, and thats all combat... no glitching, stat buffing, jet/tank/zentorno whoring, etc - ALL HARD FOUGHT COMBAT.

Im pretty good at ground combat.

Most nights I find myself in combat, murdering players all over, but im finding more and more that im getting killed by very silly ways.

Either by;

· Spawning right infront of an opponent, or bang in the middle of an open area, where im sniped at almost immediately.

· In the direct line of a cop, where I get blasted to hell straight away.

· In the path of an incoming player speeding in a car.

· In a road, to be knocked down by a scared NPC who drives off, leaving me incredibly exposed.

· Etc.

When others im fighting almost always spawn behind a building, a tree, a fence, etc - providing cover automatically, or the spawn on a bridge, high above me, again giving advantage to them, and much needed cover... all kinds of scenarios I can add - seems to happen all the time at the moment.

Now, I have a theory, where to balance out combat (kinda like the "catch up" selection when racing), players who are either not as experienced or capable are given a chance to even the odds as it were by balancing?

or... am I just unlucky? lol.

I have a similar K/D and I also seem to have bad luck with my spawning, so you may be correct about this xD

Me having a 0.81 KD ratio and being killed by 1348 players,i seem to be spawning at the most awkward places so i dont think you're theory is true

Getting killed by an NPC during a fight with another player is a good thing as it means your k/d won't go down. My k/d is 4.58 and that sh*t can be a godsend at times.

I can't remember the last time I spawned right in front of a player and got killed but a lot of times people I just killed happen to spawn right in front of me after I get back into my car and end up killing me.

My personal opinion, with these K/D numbers, you are picking and choosing fights if these are based on freeroam. and you are doing 1 of the following methods; the gang up method where you and your homies focus on one player making it an unfair advantage for you, or you are using the run and hide method, waiting for your opponent to come after you every time or you wait at a distance and while other players are battling you snipe them. Or you just bail when the going gets tough.

As for your balanced spawning theory, these happen to everyone. I've been hit by an NPC car thousands of times or even the train, only another player killing you or them effects your K/D unless you aren't talking about PVP K/D and you are speaking of overall K/D...

When you realize your KD is pointless you will be free of these trivialities.

Are those the only 2 ways you know of getting kills? I get them a different way.

I have a much higher, legit K/D and don't have any of the problems you describe. It's "luck of the draw" and luck is for losers!

Bad Spawning issues can easily be handled by simply turning on passive when in the death screen. Re-spawn, set back up.. .turn it off.

Alot of people might hate that.. but it is what it is. And i think passive mode after death till ready to fight again is fair.

This game has bad spawning... and always on radar. Hence, a player might need a few seconds after re-spawning to adjust to where they are and get back into things.

Do people really care about their KD in gta? I think free roam KD is pointless. People will hide around a corner, waiting to auto lock onto someone who just wants the change the paint on their car, or just cruising around. I didn't even realize gta kept that close a track on peoples free roam kd until months after owning the game lol. Auto aim ruins kdr in my opinion. But to answer the question. I get very bad spawns a lot with an eh kd.

2.63 KD here.

I tend to spawn far from enemies while they spawn close to me. I also feel like traffic tried to run me over on purpose but that might just be a thing that happens to everyone.
