Something tells me that people who care about their K/D Ratio are CoD players. Nothing wrong that in fact I think it's pretty smart against Jet Greifers. But it's annoying in a free roam battle.

I have seen weaker moves. There are a ton of "badasses" who will grief the sh*t out of you in their armored bitch-mobiles (insurgents/kurumas), but will immediately go into passive the second you flush them out, Then they repeat the same bitch move.

It depends on the attacker mostly. Now if it's some blowhole killing everything in sight or some dick that has a hard on for you for no apparent reason, suicide is a good tactic.

There was a video posted a while back (though slightly different from what you were posting about...sorta...) where someone went into passive and stalked the other guy, and the guy getting stalked made a video of it, watching the passive dude. As soon as the stalker went out of passive, the other guy rolled and gunned the stalker downed almost immediately. Was amusing.

As a jet griefer, i can tell you it annoys me. I don't care too much about kdr. I share a profile with a nine and 13 yo girl... but it's pretty high.

As for the suicide thing, I was taking jets out with RPGs xD I don't take easy way out mid combat, my KDR is 2.32 I do TDMs on a daily basis so I really don't care about it anymore. We should 1v1 sometime Hope you aint mad you lost to us three times in a row.

There was this one guy who had a bounty, and I attempted to claim it, when he realized I was trying to kill him for it.

 

He kept committing suicide.

 

Every. Time. He. Respawned...

 

...we were in Sandy Shores at the abandoned motel...

 

I wasn't able to kill him...

Want to see an example of what I'm referring to.

 

Fast forward to about 4.55 of this video, basically you hold the interaction menu open whilst shooting, good RPG shots to be fair, but the suicide option is at the ready to prevent the other player getting a registered kill lol.

 

Would you consider a player in a jet killing a player on the ground fair? The odds of shooting down a jet from the ground are slim.You have a point on it "saving" players' KDR but you're not always successful taking the easy way out doing that too. (I suck at doing that so don't even bother) I don't see the fuss in this, it is freemode after all.

Using suicide in a gunfight to gain an advantage?

 

 

I understand that police intervention can be infuriating when you and another player are duking it out, but still... I always go down in a blaze of gunfire if i'm not driving away victorious. Not because I feel i'm 'better' or more 'skilled'... but because it never crossed my mind to kill myself in order to win anything.

 

K/D ratio should be taken out of this game.
