BasketBall Goal In My Apt..Ellipse apt only

Yesterday on the PS3

 

I logged in and started the game, once the game loaded, I went to the creator to update a couple of my races, afterwards i hit exit to GTA (Not GTA Online)

I went to my messages on the PS3 and took an invite from a buddy who had sent the invite while i was doing the updates......i got a message player was on a active job did i want to spectate

I said yes, He was playing Golf and only on the 2nd hole, I hit the "o" button to leave then noticed i had no options to leave, so i hit the PS button and logged out of PSN so it would kick me back to story mode....it did and i rejoined GTA online selecting a Friends only Lobby .....I spawned at my Apt Ellipse Tower ($500k) started to my garage door and saw this

an Indoor basketball machine, that blocked the door and prevented me from exiting

 

Thinking it must be a glitch caused by the way i signed out while spectating my buddy, I took an invite to do a heist with a random person,

Once the heist was over I returned to my apt , and when i spawned into my apt i was stuck underneath the basketball machine, this time i said sh*t and rebooted the PS3, and restarted the game, I took an invited from my Buddy once again and spawned into my apt at Ellipse once more The basketball goal was still there, I told my Buddy what was going on and asked him if he had noticed anything odd, he said no but his main apt was at Richards Majestic and hadnt been in his Ellipse apt in a long while,...I Invited him to my Apt to see if he saw what i was seeing

It spawned him under the thing he could not get out either

 

I started a race from the jobs menu so we could exit, after the race we checked our Apts, Mine Apts are the 500k at Ellipse, the Highend at Richards Majestic, and the top floor at Weazel Plaza.....The Richads Majestic and Weazel apt were normal, but when i went back to Ellipse i was once again stuck underneath the basketball machine,...My buddy checked his Apts also

He started with the high end one at Tinsel towers and then went to the highend one at Alta street(i think that were its at) Both of these were normal, but when he went into his Ellipse apt he was stuck underneath the machine also

 

We BOTH rebooted our machines (the second reboot for me) we cleared out the cache and started the game, i once again spawned into my ellipse apt and had the Basketball machine blocking my door, My buddy entered his apt at ellipse and was once stuck underneath

 

I finally said the hell with it and used my phone to trade in my ellipse apt for the highend one at Tinsel, my buddy also traded in his ellipse apt for another, we had no further glitches

 

I have played GTA from the start

and when oddities like this happen normally rebooting the PS3 and restarting the game corrects the issues, but in the past i have only had issues similar to this in public lobbies, or after being in a public lobby

We had NOT been in a public lobby, neither of us know how to hack or Mod and rebooting did not clear up the issue

 

We joked that it must have been a real-estate prop used by rockstar to entice players to buy that highend apt while the sale was going on, but the programmer set it up in the wrong place LOL

Me or my buddy had not been in a public lobby, Both of us rebooted and cleared the cache before restarting the game..........nothing we did helped ...well except trading the apt LOL

man i have experienced a lot of modding stuff, heck even the good ol garage killers but and i have never experienced the garage traps...

 

this was a thing months ago, people getting trapped by containers, car compactor or the basketball thing.

Something similar happened to me.

I was hosting a PS heist setup and me, two friends, and a random were picking outfits. So the basketball thing spawned in the "heist setup room", right in front of me so I couldn't see my outfit. Not that terrible or something, just thought I should tell you this. We could just start the setup regularly and the thing was gone later.

Rebooting had always helped in the past...But not this time.....we had not been in a public lobby, ....i started a friends only lobby with only me in the lobby when it first happened, and after each reboot it was a friends lobby or invite only lobby....

 

It was placed in a manner so you could not exit the apt because you could not get close enough to the door to get the prompt.......and when you entered the apt form outside or the garage you were stuck underneath it

 

we even tried a solo lobby once, ...the only Apt effected was the high end Apt at Ellipse, none of the others were effected.........we tried for about an hour to clear it out or make it go away....thats when i got pissed and traded the APT.....

No after i traded the apt it was gone....my buddy had to trade his also to get rid of it

This only happened at Eclipse for me which is why I moved to another apartment, Tinsel Towers. Good thing too as there seems to ALWAYS be shipping crates in front of the garage door now no matter what mode I'm in. I think they target Eclipse cause it's the popular apartment

No thats is what was odd....neither of us had been in a public lobby, when it first happened i had just started a friends only lobby and i was the only one in the lobby, I rebooted the ps3 and game joined my friend in a invite only lobby, (he had just signed on to the ps3 and started the game )the basketball thing was still in my apt, I told my friend what was going on, he said his high end apt a Richards Majestic was fine,(he spawns in at that apt) he went to check his apt at Ellipse and found the basketball machine in his apt there he was trapped underneath.........I invited him to my apt, and he spawned in underneath the machine in my apt trapped...we both rebooted the ps3 and cleared the cache ...i started a invite only lobby and the damn thing was still there, My friend came into the lobby by accepting the invite, it was still in his ellipse apt also.......he said he was going to reboot again and clear the cache again, i said i would do the same, It did, only time i started a solo lobby.....damn thing was still there, My buddy did another invite only lobby he sent me a message saying it was still there......we grouped back up together and traded the apts ....didnt see it after that......time might have cleared up the problem...I just got tired of the damn glitch .....

i remember this from ps3. we were doing criminal mastermind a couple of weeks back, after a setup 1 of our members got separated into a lobby and got stuck because a modder kept blowing him up. he managed to join the next setup but he brought a surprise with him:
