The good old days,

Where I could store a Lazer in my garage, and have people taking pictures of it.

The good old days,

where I could store a chrome tank in my garage.

I miss those old days :(

It wasn´t so far in the past, but I remember when we could have our Sovereigns painted any color we wanted, back when we could leave our vehicle parked somewhere and after moving away get another vehicle delivered to take a photo of both of them together (now the first one disappears as soon as second one is delivered),back when we could wear face bandana with a matching head bandana or any other hat we wanted (instead of being forced to wear it with a SWAG hat),and back when we could duplicate expensive cars with the help of a prostitute and then sell it for a lot of money.

The good old days when I was the only one around with a car worth more that 100K.

The good old days when I could sell the same motorcycle over and over.

The good old days when I grinded missions to buy my first tank.

The good old days when the Mechanic got scared by your friend's gun and sent you on a wild goose chase around San Andreas just so you could drive your car.

The good old days when I had a crew that actually meant something to me and was famous around this very forum.

And last, but not least, the good old days when I could rob ab armored truck for 14 billion in cash.

Ahhh, love these nostalgia threads. The late GTAO players will never know the joy of making friends trading rare cars like pokemon cards, and cruising in a custom colored tank or police car. Good times.

I really miss the independence day update SP2MP race method. Had to be the best non-money glitch to ever get into GTAO.

One thing I miss was back when player dots were JUST DOTS, none of this tank / plane / heli icon bullsh*t, you had to keep an eye on the dots to see how they move over the map to figure out what sort of vehicle they were in and if they were any sort of immediate threat, now it gets all handed to you on a silver platter... ugh...

The good ole days

When you could enter a public lobby, chat with strangers everyone learning and exploring the map.....I do miss that,

GTA has now evolved or maybe regressed into a place where you enter a public lobby and say Hi and if anyone replys its normally a slur of some sort and at least 5 people head your way looking to kill you

Tanks were never that much of an issue, all you had to do was avoid them, Lazers and Buzzards were a little harder if the person knew how to fly them correctly,

@OP....the first line or two of your post made you sound like someone who did enjoy the game and making friends.....but the rest of your I miss Good ole days makes you sound like a modding griever who enjoyed grieving lower level players because you knew they didnt have the firepower to fight back and it made you feel like a king........you now sound like your a pawn and have to work for a living

I remember the times when there was:

Rockstar had at least one double money and RP event for EVERY job, including contact missions

There was no mental state

The blips were normal and weren't different

The billionaire days

The time when GTA Online first came out and there was a lot of issues going on

How it was so easy to become a bad sport

The game is so different now, it's crazy how so many things have changed.

Apparently the "good days" are just the "days where we glitched everything possible and tried to break the game as much as possible regardless what was intended for it"

Damn straight! What a lot of fun it was too. Most of the glitches people reminisce about were completely harmless anyway...

So the "good old days" seems to only be fun for glitchers. :/

Remember the good old days when players had billions and had every mod and made races mute to even race when others were in engine 1 upgraded cars?

Remember the good old days when players had all the most expensive cars and high-end apartment and then moaned there was nothing to do?

Remember the good old days when tanks would camp outside that particular high-end apartment and blow anyone up coming out?

The good old days were filled with dicks. Everyone taking advantage of GTA:O with how broken it was. I think the "good old days" were hell for legit players. For the short time that I was a billionaire thanks to modders, I sent muggers after everyone. I put bounties on anyone trying to kill me. I would do cars up and leave them in the street for players to find and sell. But when that money was taken from me, I was bummed out but only for a short time. I started enjoying working towards buying myself a car and paying for the mods. I would actually race for mods. So for you to say "I miss the days when I had all of this money but races were empty" is a bit conflicting. People still did races as it was an okay way for money but unlocking mods at the same time. But I do agree on one thing: heists. Heists and different platforms split up players, making it harder to find people in deathmatches and races. I don't even play free-aim as the last time I did it was emptier than a priest's bed. So I can't even start to imagine how heists and different platforms ruined free-aim lobbies.

Personally, the only thing I truly miss from the "good old days" is the blips. When it was worth it having a buzzard and following roads, pretending you were on foot or in a car. It was a great way to collect bounties. Jets were easy to spot as they were quick and went over hills like crazy. The less blip icons, the more the game was tactical. Now R* are making the game easier for noobs. Everything is easy to identify. The damn proxy bombs have beeping sounds! You can hear those quite well with a headset. So a f*cking damn stealth/trap weapon can be heard if no other sounds are blaring through your ears. But while I wish for the simplicity of GTA:O to come back, I quite enjoy how R* are finally getting a firm grip on the game. GTA:O was supposed to be a "do loads of missions to get money to buy this stuff" and climb up the ladder of the criminal underworld but money glitches f*cked it all up. That's why most cars are stupidly over-priced. If we were all poor and moaned that sh*t was expensive, I'm damn sure that ill-gotten gains would've been a '92 Volkswagen Jetta and a Wal-Mart water gun. But no, the games economy is so inflated that blow-up dolls get turned on playing GTA:O.

f*ck the old days. It just f*cked the tomorrow of GTA:O.

*edit*
I should state that harmless glitches (storing blacklisted vehicles/making outfits/swing door glitches) are not part of my rant. The GTA IV swingset glitch was my favorite thing to do in multiplayer and I loved R* to keep it as it was the most popular glitch (and quite harmless). For R* to remove fun glitches in GTA:O just blows my mind at how they're tackling the wrong issues!

I miss these days. That was the most active I had ever seen people on GTA Online. Receiving requests left and right to duplicate my garage full of police vehicles... it amazed me how many people actually wanted to own one.

Reminiscing...

So me having cop cars f*cked the future of GTA Online? I think not. R* is f*ck*ing* the future of GTA Online themselves. In order for a game to have longevity it has to have freedom...so that players can make their own fun. Why do you think people still play GTAIV to this day? In GTA Online you're constrained by shackles. You're only allowed to do what R* says you can do. You're only allowed to have a certain kind of R* endorsed fun. R* is akin to the over-eager party host who carefully and meticulously plans out all of the activities their guests will partake in and will allow no deviation. Sure, you appreciate the effort but really for most people it feels kinda stiff.

That's what was so great about the good old days. We found ways around the arbitrary blocks R* had crammed in. We found out how to make our own fun. For the RP community this was especially important as it allowed us to finally store cop cars. For a while everything was perfect...then R* f*cked it up. They didn't just block the harmful stuff. They didn't just blacklist the tanks or Buzzards. They blacklisted everything...and so began the iron fisted rule of the party host!

I laugh at you Sir.

Old days was sh*t.

Glitching money is even more sh*t.

Some players try play clean and im one of them.

But as in life in general, there is always some losers who is trying to find an easy way to make money and afraid of doing some hard physical work.

Physical hard work? In a virtual world. Must be hard work from the elbows down, huh?

The best time for me was during billion dollar days and I use to mod vehicles for people and let them choose what they wanted to do with it. If they wanted to sell it or just put a tracker/insurance to keep it.

I use to f*ck with people while doing it tho. I use to paint it ugly colors and they'd be like "that's f*cking ugly" yeah and its free too. Rockstar was a bad sport for taking away good times due to their pockets getting dry.

This is where it gets touchy. R* did say they would leave "harmless glitches" alone. Anyone remember that? Of course as it's the argument people bring up whenever a car is blacklisted or when they removed that tattoo door glitch that would send you flying. And you know what? I hate that R* went against their word even if I never had a blacklisted vehicle. I also enjoy the freedom - those harmless things. My post should of stated that my rant was direct mostly towards money glitchers who f*cked the economy up. It's a fan theory that some call crazy but it's true; money glitchers ruined the economy. Now those that store vehicles and outfits? They should be left alone. I myself don't know why R* go after those. It angers me that people such as yourself are doing harmless and fun stuff but you're on the top of the priority list. R* can be idiots sometimes. :/

*edit*

I've edit my original post to state my intentions. Sorry for any confusion. I own a cop outfit from the heist method so I'm not some sort of church boy. :p

There's 2 things I'll always miss.

1.) The billionaire era.

It was a grand time when garage space was considered to be unnecessary as you could just mod a car and replace it whenever and nothing matter except having fun.

2.) Tank sniping.

Tanks didn't rule the good old days, my Heavy Sniper did. Tanks were no match for the power of my sniper and the extreme accuracy I had at the time, which has since diminished since tank sniping is no longer relevant.

R* is dumb as sh*t. They state in an update that all fun/non game breaking glitches will remain and continue to patch all of them every update.

Anyone still see God mode around? Yet I cannot set an outfit with just a bandana......f*ck off.

Sell Franks Buff MKII for $156,000

Bring all the Single Player character cars online

you now simply can buy them of the website for an pretty cheap price

and because of that we also got rid of most of the special snowflake kids that didn't realy love their car for what it was

I didn't know you could buy a 747.
