I don't think you understand how Textures work...

 

But if you want to, just do it. The first offense is a 2 week ban, you can always have fun until you get banned, uninstall the mods and play some other games for 2 weeks.

I use tons of rpf mods online, for the past two weeks. It shouldn't be a problem unless your tampering with others gameplay and they report you.

I come from Steam, where you can play just about any game using skins and new textures on the orginal models. There is no problem there, heck even Team Fortress 2 can be reskined and has no problem with their anti cheat system. R*'s anti cheat is a bad joke, heck script kiddies are using it to get innocent players banned by unlocking sh*t on ppl's characters.

I tried that, they didnt read the question and replied about "hacking", R* support is just full of idiots. They didnt even answer to my question at all. It took over 4 replies to get them to read the ticket, and they still think using a re skin is "hacking".

Learn how to bloody read, My first post was pointing out what R* said on the matter, not what I said. I didnt contradict myself as I NEVER said they where mods, only that R* views them as mods, which in turn I called them idiots.

Gee guys , no need to be a dick towards DerpCat, he's clearly confused.

 

I have explained this above but I'll break it down a bit more. Reskins are mods, because you're changing the original texture, whether or not this is to remove rust or not the game doesn't know what you've done, but all it knows is that you've changed the original files. R* have said themselves any form of modding, including rpf, iso etc are considered cheating, and will get you banned. They have file checks while loading. Best to be safe and not to change anything, unless you only play single player.
