No waves after update?

Rockstar's planning to flood the city with a tsunami.

Finally, my Speeder will have a practical use!

 

 

I wouldn't actually mind seeing the city flooded for a day.

 

I enjoy boats on the game, but something needs to be done to actually bring boats alive and to give them a fun purpose.

 

More interactive things in the sea.

Boat deathmatch, put a large inflatable course out in the sea.

 

There's endless things that can be done.

Only us peasants have rough seas. Wouldn't want to ruffle your quiff on rough seas because you next geners are allegedly special and such.

Its not true I just took a helicopter and a boat and explored the coasts and there were plenty of waves. See for yourselves guys

any news on the lack of waves over the past week from rockstar?

are there any waves when its raining even or dose it stay calm?

Its also clam on single player as well, (xone) maybe ILL gotten II will have yachts like the one from that one heist!

I remember the water being calm for that set up.

well looks like it was just a bug because its back to normal (waves are back) on story mode and online.

I did enjoy it while it lasted!

You can test it - just for fun - if the weather cheat flats your ocean. For me it happens.

They did it because while swimming on the surface of the water in first person, the waves rise in the way of your view repeatedly.

R* must be doing something or doing changes to the game as the waves are gone again today (single player xone) even during a narley rain storm the sea was as calm as can be.

You know those rednecks that drive around in their trucks and tow buddies on skis behind? I can promise you that 90% of GTA players will call Pegasus up and order a boat to do drive-by's in.

 

*On an unrelated note: the concept reminds me of that weird science experiment where they put a dolphin in a flooded house with a woman who gave it handjobs. Yes, I'm serious. Look it up.*

I'm on PC, and sometimes the waves are calm, sometimes the waves are not, it seems very much intended and i personally really enjoy it.

I'll make this really easy for you;

Waves(None whatsoever, variable, like it always was):



If you are barely ever at the sea, and just saw the waves being calm that one time you passed the ocean and happened to look at it, you need not reply. There's enough uninformed replies as there is.

On PS3, I did a couple of missions that uses sea transport.

 

Still wavey as ever. I get that's it's realistic, but man, this is why I'd rather stay on the land.

 

EDIT: to be fair, HLR EMP always has calm waters near the carrier. Doesn't count.

For ME it happens when I use the weather changing cheat and I only can reset it, when I restart GTA V.

 

I'm playing on PS4 (Ill-Gotten Gains Part 1 Update), I'm a returning player, this can maybe make a difference. My GTA V is also fresh installed, because I checked if this problem still occurs. On my PS3 is all fine.

Join a Survival if you're looking for waves.

Nobody plays those things anymore.

This is during a mission. Unless theres' something wrong with free roam weather/waves.

I landed my do-do in a flat ocean south of the airport yesterday. There were waves near the beach but when you went out pretty far away from land, the sea was as flat as could be.

By the way after updating to Ill-Gotten Gains Part II my ocean waves system is fixed but I think this was randomly, because I've not see anything like this in the patch notes.
