It's the little things that help make the game alive. Remember when the trees didn't move when the PS4 and Xbox One versions first came out?

I didn't notice because I was too busy playing the game and having fun didn't care either. As for the waves well the ocean is calm sometimes.

Same here, the waves looked very nice and realistic. Removing it takes away immersion from the game. Hopefully it's unintended.

PC Freeroam - waves are still there. May not be as choppy but my guess is that Rockstar could have finally synced the waves to the weather. So when it's raining and a bit windy, they'll be more choppy.

 

However (PC), the water is literally as calm as can be for the entire route on EMP's setup mission.

I noticed this last night during the Humane Labs - EMP set up. For me it was also the first time in that set up that the time setting was during the day instead of night. Xbox one.

The no-waves-on-water/ocean-issue appears seemingly on PS4 when you enter weather cheats, this flattens my ocean and remains until I end the game and restart it. Loading an older savegame doesn't work.

On PS3 is all fine.

Can somebody check/proof this issue on PS4/Xbox One/PC?

If it's now weather related then immersion has been preserved. The waves seem to be calmer, but the weather is fine atm.

I will show you a video, and send this to the Rockstar Support. This video could be boring, but it is for showing the issue, I start a new game at the sonar dock with ocean waves, cicle some weather cheats to show the issue, drive sensless around and load an older savegame, drive to the port to show that this issue still remains.

Based on that video I'd say the waves are still there for me, but they do seem a bit calmer than before.

You guys aren't seeing the big picture!!! Rockstar is hinting at a big addition coming in ill-gotten gains part 2: a wave machine! All for the low low in game price of 30 million! Get your kersh kurds early because we just know the servers will crash with the amount of players rushing to buy them
