I truly have been a fair GTA player. Legitimate and honorable, but I must say others are quite assholes about it. What shocked me the most is the fact that people bitched about R* fixing the glitched outfits and fixing the creator. Rockstar actually fixed what was broke (sure, they didn't fix something that has plagued the game since launch but at least it's something). They removed something that players weren't ment to do. Fixing the creator was a type of blessing. You can now say goodbye to those terrible stunt races. The glitched outfits didn't bother me the slightest, players made it look ugly anyway.

I used to love racing. Then Player Created Races came along. I don't race much anymore.

The only problem with player-created content is players.

Come to think of it, the only problem with GTA Online is players.

I think I'm seeing a pattern here...

I feel ya man, I do. Death matches on GTA 4 were legendary, I will never forget how much fun I had playing that game. Then I got GTA5, and was bitterly disappointed. Still a good game, but I'd take peak GTA4 to GTA5 any day.

Everything they release seems to make the game worse. Content creator was a nightmare (because of all the spawntrap deathmatches and races that are really just ramps) and since the heists came out, that is all anyone wants to play. I hate heists so much, not even gonna go into why. I finally beat them all, now I will never play them again unless it is to help people out for grins.

I found a way to exploit the current death match scene. I just found one of those $/RP maps and saved it, then hosted my own. On mine, I allow owned weapons, instead of forcing. I got a lot of people to play and kicked their asses to unlock weapon tints and other stuff. I am still bitter about how this game turned out though. Some things, they just did SOOOO good. Other things make it so horrible I barely want to play it anymore, but something keeps me coming back.

Yes, we're too busy calling everyone else "kid" or disrespecting their taste at the point that interacting with other people means stressful moments.

I said it some time ago:

"This is why we can't have nice things": do we all agree on this, right?

Warning: this is an opinion and is a "long" text. If you joined a forum wanting to read posts of only one paragraph and reading is not your ally then maybe Imgur and Twitter are for you.

I started with that meme since it's a nutshell of the (in my honestly honest opinion) biggest problem about GTA Online. And here I am, claiming that it's the community the doom of the game.

Rockstar promised that GTA Online is a constant world that will be growing up and adding new stuff in order to keep the it fresh, it's their long-time project. Of course, since Rockstar said that and watching what the game is today you can ask yourself if they were scamming people or the micro transactions took the best of Rockstar Games.

You can see it in the trailer of GTA Online, the open game is showed as a PvE game rather than a extended version of Nuketown. That was Rockstar's expectations, if they were aiming their ideas to that, no wonder today the game hardly adds a new feature.

We have to give credit to the devs, they are doing partially what they said... for a DLC era where you have to pay a few bucks to get a camo in a gun watching them releasing DLCs (or updates, that doesn't matter) for free is something we don't see every day. We agree on that.

But, what about the other part they promised? What part, can you ask... heists, the casino? Yes and no, I'm talking about the part they avoid because the worst gaming community in the last years: features. I get it, it's nice to have new vehicles/clothes/masks every two months but it gets old very fast. We need (yeah, otherwise the game will "die" soon) things to to instead of things to buy. I don't think Rockstar was talking about clothes/cars when they talked about keeping the game in constant evolution.

Micro transactions are what Rockstar needs to keep releasing free content, right? Well, adding features is near impossible because bad luck decided that the worst communities went to GTA. You know what community I'm talking about: the community that pays a few bucks for a camo, the same people that want everything easy, the ones worried about rank and k/d like a life/death matter.

And we get to the point that started the thread... this is why we can't have nice things.

It's not only about having a good idea and adding it to the game as a new feature. Think about something you'd like to see in the game, whatever you want. While you think in how implementing that idea I bet you found ways it could be exploited easily and will cause a gamebreaker glitch. Even if you don't find it we're talking about the same community that managed a way to glitch money by the rearrangement tool in the garage.

It's a fact and we saw it on the Flight School update: one day and 95% (so to speak) of the players started to complain about a new feature being boring. It wasn't my favorite but I recognize it felt good to have something else to do. Less than 24 hours and Se7en and /r/gtaglitches had ways to exploit the Flight School, it was simply ridiculous. Same for heists, people will be more concerned about ways to exploit it than if the content is good.

This is where I blame youtubers. It's not like if people needed money in-game, youtubers spread that for the sake of doing it... after all they only need to read a text tutorial and make it a video, and of course... as everyone want to be the first one it ends with 100 videos of the same glitch.

Conclusion: people itself is preventhing this game from growing up. More than console limitations, game limitations or network limitations (another problems too) the main problem is and will be the community. After thinking about it, Rockstar finally has a stable game, adding new features will release the glitching chaos again. It's just my input and hope it can be discussed.

I couldn't agree more with this. But I can't necessary say that it's mostly the community's fault. Rockstar is also to blame. Not only they promoted youtubers who glitch (icrazyteddy) but also not making an effort in combating money glitches until now.

And whose to say I DON'T do that? Creating Maps, Hosting them?

You're killing me slick.

I f*cking do that.

Also have your albeit f*ck-all opinion,

But Public inadequacy?

(.....Bitch where?)

Did you even read the post? Where'd you get this deduction. Benedict Cumberbatch? Is Moriarty whispering this sh*t in your ear I'm compensating for something? Get your head out your ass.

This is a public forum and you're..... bitching about my bitching?

Which in essence isn't my "bitching" wasn't really bitching, more as if critique.

Back to my point I suppose.

We do sh*t things as a community we get sh*t updates, R* supports people who do it only for the fame and gets attention. Cycle onward, Repeat.

You press the button, you join that job, you're satisfied IF by slim pickings the f*cking thing doesn't throw you in spam-griefing lobbies that should be a blatant BANNABLE offense to make such GARBAGE that kills the mechanic R* made to speed along the process.

The quick-job is a feature that NEEDS to be corrected. It's a function thats B.R.O.K.-mother-f*cking-.E

I'm sorry if I'm going ham on you with facts here but if consumers of a product isn't allowed to "bitch" then there's not point in things that help communities. Hell we'd all be spoon-fed bullsh*t if it was up to "Public Inadequacy"

I join any melee deathmatches just for a laugh. Nothing better than being punched to death from invisible fists halfway from falling to your death from 1000 feet in the sky.

sky ufc3 had me crying with laughter when i was new.
