Why can't we enjoy gaming without useless stats? I don't give two f*cks, as long as it looks good.

but these stats are what determined how it looks.

Contradiction the post

I guess ill have to dumb it down for you, I don't care what the numbers are as long as it looks good. Besides if I put a 720p tv in front of you and told you it was 1080p, you wouldn't even know the difference.

If any of you have been lucky enough to be online when rockstars servers have been switched off (I have) and stayed "online". You would be enlighten, the game runs so so fast and smooth. As soon as the servers come back on (this is being solo the entire time), soooon as the servers come back everything goes to sh*t. It was quite an amazing experience.

those numbers are the direct result of the image quality so no matter what you say it doesnt make any sense. Just because you "dont care" doesnt make those stats "useless" as you like to put it... Also If you dont care then why are you projecting on me saying I cant see the difference?

1080p30 because 60 frames looks depressing as hell. Prime example. Whenever I film a POV vid on my go pro from my car door drifting at 60fps, everything is so smooth to the point motion blur and the perception of speed is gone and it looks slow and boring. Same thing goes for videos games I find.

"the human eyes experience motion blur"

Now I seen it all

Your eyes do though, its called retinal persistence...

LMFAO thats not motion blur....

did you just look up vision and motion?

here you go buddy

Biology[edit]
When an animal's eye is in motion, the image will suffer from motion blur, resulting in an inability to resolve details. To cope with this, humans generally alternate between saccades (quick eye movements) and fixation (focusing on a single point). Saccadic masking makes motion blur during a saccade invisible. Similarly, smooth pursuit allows the eye to track a target in rapid motion, eliminating motion blur of that target instead of the scene.

Well actually Iooked up what I wrote, to confirm what I thought. But yeah, so your saying we dont experience it? Honestly didnt read what you wrote after "here you go". And im seriously asking. And do you deny that things tend to look slower in 60 fps.(Im talking more along the lines of cars not so much video games)

If you'd prefer 1080p 30 fps over 720p 60 fps, you've never experienced 60 fps.

If you'd prefer 720p, you never experienced crystal clear 1080p.

1080p is 2010 dude. While I certainly appreciate clarity, it's all ruined because it feels like a slideshow at 30fps.

1080p isn't "2010" because majority of gamers are on console combined (PSN, Wii U, Xbox Live), 1080p isn't really the standard yet so I highly disagree.

Oh yea I forgot people play on those outdated cheap boxes.

I enjoy playing the outdated cheap "boxes" with my friends. Just played Drive Club at Gamestop oh boy those 1080p graphics sure look "outdated"...

Youre confusing 'slower' with 'smoother'

Fair enough. I know when im in the wrong. Thanks for clearing that up.

Still don't like 60fps for that same reason though.

I just played project cars on my PC right where I'm sitting. I haven't seen Drive Club but put that beside my 144 hz screen and I'm pretty sure it would look kinda outdated.

OT: I had just been trying GTA on new gen for like 10 minutes and was still playing my xbox 360 when PC version came out, when I changed from xbox 360 to PC it absolutely blew my mind. I would take framerate any day.
