ignore list dude....ignore list...this is in an earlier update whether you want to admit it or no...it was published.

I've been playing invite only sessions--by myself--since PC launched, and never seen any free roam activities aside from very rare armoured trucks. It's definitely new. Maybe it's tied to the crate weekend, but since this is the first one on PC it's new to me.

This could only be a PC thing who knows but like you said you don't play enough so how would you know if something was changed or not?

It's not PC only, I'm on PS4. I think it was either a one off thing yesterday or linked to the special crates weekend. Not sure. But I doubt it was linked with the patch because it wasn't like that wednesday or thursday. Coincedence we all had it yesterday?

Hoping its not just due to the update event weekend. Made a just over a million yesterday thanks the the frequency of events in my solo freeroam. Spent $200 to call in my hydra and spent the good part of 4 hours in it.

Didn't see anything in the patch notes about changes to Blow Up 2 also, but they nerfed the max RP you can get on that mission. As someone who always plays in invite only sessions, I can confirm that this patch definitely added more free roam events such as smuggler planes, target vehicles, & armored trucks while playing solo in invite only. I never used to see them before this update.

We saw a lot of Freeroam stuff while in Friends Only lobby yesterday

Lester= wanting a distraction

Gerald= needing a car destroyed

Trevor= smugglers plane

Lester=Kill target

in the past we have had the HPVs once three people are in the lobby and every now an then a crate drop.........but yesterday something was going on all the time even when it was only two of us.....i was making 10k every 5 minutes or so from lesters distractions, and hitting an Armored car in between made me another 12-16 k I can remember what the other stuff paid but racked up over 300k in an hour

random events were added with the introduction of armored trucks and Lester's Kill tareget assassinations

 

Lester Kill Target is a feature in Grand Theft Auto Online Free Mode unlocked after completing the first job for Lester Crest and was introduced in patch 1.15.

 

The frequency of these events occasionally were bugged

Initially these events needed 4 players in an open session that requirement was later adjusted.

 

Trevors smuggler planes were added in the Heist update and like any other random event, sometimes got bugged.

The only random event that doesn't and has never occurred in solo or invite only sessions are the crate drops and since their introduction even they were bugged.

I think what the OP was getting at was that the frequency has been dialed up a notch or two. I certainly noticed it on PC and PS4 over the last day.

It happens every time there is a new addition, it's nothing new and I provided proof with my last post.
