must've been prison break, that or pay better. Yes you get bs points. But not enough for it to be a concern.

Before you go on a war path about punishment use the search feature so you don't get blasted.

You ever think they got disconnected because of R* unreliable servers? It happens, move on.

I wrote this in a previous thread

How to prevent people from quitting your heist ?

Give the newly joined player a minute to decide if he/she wants to stay before the host hits launch.

There are numerous reasons why some of us quit your heists and or their set-ups. We do not like the role we are given.....we do not like the level difficulty.....we do not like waiting through an hour long fashion show because the host refused to set heist clothing to "player saved outfits"......because no one has mic's turned on.......because there is an annoying squeaker in the group......because crew members are clueless.....there are too many low level crew members......we do not like the pay-out.....or we do not like that particular set-up......or a combination of all of the above.

There is no real way of knowing if a player will quit, when a player is going to quit or why a player quits. To punish said player for justifiably quitting should not be held against them. I personally try to stick them out, but I am not sticking around when I can see failure before we even begin. I am not wasting my time, and if the host gives me a minute before pressing launch to decide of I want to stay, then I would not waste the hosts time either.

A lot of us use the on-call feature and too many hosts mash that launch button before we make it through the door, so some of you are bringing this on yourselves.

And lastly, you want to keep your heist crew together......make friends.....do not use randoms, problem solved.

LOL! I just love how people bitch and complain about how they do not like the pay-out. All I gotta say is this.... HOST up your own god damn heists, and see how you like waiting for 10+ solid mins to find decent players to play with. Come back to me when you have hosting experience, and lets talk about the pay-out then.

The audacity of some of these entitlement players.

Here's the thing I hate about some players who host a heist/heist setup. The second I join, they instantly start it up. That just annoys me and usually I decide to leave. It's like damn, give me a minute to get ready. I know you've been waiting a while, but I gotta get ready. I need to know what difficulty I'm playing, what role I'm doing, and anything else I need to know.

Hosting experience ? Is there some type of award for this ? Must be, because last i checked, there are no shortage of Hosts. There is however a huge shortage of competent crew members to fill heists and set-ups.....reasons why so many host come here to cry about not being able to fill a lobby.

And for the record, I host daily, never have a problem waiting. The only problem i have, is i have too many friends to choose from and do not rely or need random help.

friends, it does a Heist good !

Me personally I leave if it's long and we fail it, if we failed because of someone being stupid or if we fail because of someone trolling.

Sorry but I'm a busy adult I do have errands and responsibilities I only have a small window to play and I won't waste my time on noobs, idiots or trolls .

I'm not doing Deliver Emp setup ever again with randoms. Too frustrating and a waste of time. I swear this comes up half the time when I do a random job. Like others have said, give people time to quit before you start, it'll cut down on the quitting during the setup/heist.

Let me first say.... Congratulations for having an abundance amount of friends that you can play with. I salute you with great honor. However my friends in RL think that I waste my time playing these kind of games, and so I'm left without much of an audience to play heist with. I don't have the kind of luxury you have. The only way for me to find decent people to play with is through web forums such as this.... and even with that is a struggle, you said it yourself.

Heists and setups are a clusterfk, you literally have to plan in advance with certain people to possibly maybe be able to complete a heist or setup. Playing with randoms is just a waste of time, Ive even done the setup on the forums and that didnt work out well for me either. The lack of punishment on players who leave near the end of a heist or those who die on purpose is non existant and thats a HUGE PROBLEM This has happened to me several times when we all were getting a 25% cut, The only heist I even consider playing anymore is fleeca since its the easiest, youll make alot of money and it only requires 1 other person. The odds of finding 3 other people who actually want to finish is like trying to win the state lottery, but we can report them and maybe, just maybe they'll lose that 5% discount they may have.

Spending 20-30 minutes playing a heist only to have yet another unoriginal unfunny fool ruin it, or someone demand 25% and hold the lobby hostage is not my idea of a good time. Heists have just proven to me that 95% of people playing gtao are aholes when I thought it was a good 50/50 split and Rstar has no punishment in place for those that continue to ruin it, so why wouldnt you die right at the end of a heist until someone gets smart and quits leaving you to do it all over again right from the apt front door.

I have had no problems with random players what so ever. I am more than happy to pay them 25% if they did or didn't help during setups. I keep the cuts equal so everyone is happy.

If nobody joins the setup, and then somebody leaves, does it mean that we end up with a negative number of people?

Apparently the internet believes every time someone leaves it's intentional and 100% under their control.

Where did i say making friends is a a struggle ? Making friends on these forums is easy, hell, two of the guys a play with have both posted on this thread alone. And they are just two of the many friends i have made here on the forums. I have about 21 friends who i have on my FL. 4 of which are RL family or friends. The rest ? All made through playing the game and through these forums. Any given night i have roughly 6-10 friends online at once. So its really not that much of a struggle. Have you tried making friends on the forum ?

Go to the meet-ups and lobbies.....find your system, make a post....give your time of day you play, the language you speak and what your ideal game style you wish to play. You will get bombarded with friend requests, i swear. Sure, you will find a few knucleheads along the way, but you will also find good reliable friends as well. You just then need to play with them to weed out the bad from the good. Once you start playing with your new friends, you will gain more friends through your newly acquired friends. This helps out tremendously in filling lobbies and makes doing heists a breeze.

Give it a try, it works.

Even assuming there are no connection issues and nobody is forced out of the lobby, there can be several reasons...

-The quick join feature was used and the lobby the player was put in is for a set-up mission or heist they don't like.

-They don't like the difficulty level. Personally, I just want to play on Hard. Normal I can understand and will do, I don't see why people play Easy, though.

-Other players in the lobby are spamming with microphones or being annoying in some way. If they're not kicked, someone might leave. Could be because they don't want to hear it, could be because they suspect that said players may be trolls, too.

-Similar to the first point, the mission in question is notorious for being difficult for the average random GTA heist player, such as the EMP Delivery mission. Many players lack the trust to stay in a lobby for that because they're expecting a dozen failures.

-Low rank players making more experienced players feel that there's just no way the team will succeed. Might be unfair, but too many low rank players ARE bad.

-Someone joined by accident. It happens. Being in a hurry whilst going through your mission invites list and pressing the confirm button twice on the wrong invitation. Whoops.

-The joined player changes his/her mind about participating because something suddenly came up. Again, it happens. Perhaps they're simply out of time, perhaps they have something to take care of unexpectedly.

-Player Saved Outfits is not enabled. Let players use their own outfits, there's a good chance they'll have one with the combat vest and helmet for combat missions. Otherwise, people just want to be able to use what they own. Thanks for the reminder, GR Choke.

I'm sure there's other reasons as well. Fact is, if you really want to get through the heists, it's always best to organise it rather than to jump into a game, host a lobby and hope that you'll be supplied with a decent team. You will be disappointed a hundred times. And there is no way that you'll be able to do the challenges (except the All In Order one, if you're persistent and keep hosting yourself) because your team will change many times throughout the series of heist missions and people will die constantly.

Public games: don't have any expectations and deal with being frustrated.

Private games: use these if you want to actually accomplish things in co-op modes.

Learn to set it to hard and player saved outfits

Yes. Forgot about that.

If you're hosting a set up mission or heist finale with any combat at all, that outfit option helps.

Plenty of players will have an outfit with the combat vest and bulletproof helmet to use for those missions.

To be fair, lots of missions are made easier with the Insurgent and Armoured Kuruma, but they don't cover all the bases all the time. I think.

Editing post...

When I host, I always choose the outfits for everybody and let them decide on their own masks.

I tried letting them use their saved outfits, I thought that would be nice...Turns out having every member running around in their pink underwear and pogo masks when trying to sneak in the humane labs or Stab City is a little immersion breaking for me.

And I'm sure that atleast 50% of players are still clueless about the benefit of the Heavy combat vest and ballistic mask. In fact, I'm also sure that these players have no f*cking idea that player saved outfits are a thing in this game now...

The Lone Wanderer

if player saved outfits isn't enabled, I'm gone.

have fun looking purdey and getting killed.

I don't join setups except hydra, Valkyrie and a few for sa, but people that choose looking good over completion desserve to fail.

but imo normal is better incase of random effups.

I think it's mostly due to random disconnects that aren't anybody's fault but Rockstar. I can't seem to complete any heist setup or finale atm, always some player "leaving". Most, if not all, of them did not actually leave. Never had this happen all that often, but now it seems impossible to get through any mission without the servers screwing up one way or the other.

Look at what having the unlocked Insurgent and the Valkyrie cost me last night. Sight. I now consider myself a prostitute.

At least I had some 5 star fun with one of my friends in one of the public lobbies.
