For something that isn't a rant or a Kesh Kurds conspiracy this was somewhat a worthwhile read. Especially coming from this section. I brought almost everything except for the Luxor Deluxe only because I'm waiting for part 2 of this update. Sold my supers/classic bonds just to buy the Swift Deluxe. Blew over 10 million buying all clothes, gun liveries and vehicles.

IRL Osiris also known as the Huayra costs $1.6m excluding taxes. Why the hell is 2mil overpriced? Bunch of low levels should just do more missions instead of farting in free mode acting like mr.badassgriefer with no crash in his pocket.

 

If anything the Zentorno should have been a lot more expensive. In the 3-4 mil range.

Great post. You're right that driving the Osiris is fun because of the attention it creates. Instead of people instantly blowing me up, they actually just stop and look or follow me out of curiousity. People ALWAYS want to hop in on missions. (It helps that I painted mine brushed gold).

 

I bought the Osiris, the Stirling GT, the Technical (now that it has proper bulletproof tires), and a bunch of the gun skins, but I'm no glitcher and I haven't bought any shark cards. I did the Criminal Mastermind challenge a couple months ago which netted me $11M that I previously didn't know what to do with. After buying the above plus the Hydra, the Valkyrie, the Savage, both Insurgents, the Casco, the Kuruma, an Adder (I never had one at the beginning, I only got one now since its no longer a troll magnet), and a few other things I can safely say I found a few things to spend my money on.

 

I was down to about $2M after buying the Osiris, which was the last one I bought. Now I have motivation to get back out there and start making more money, especially since I know part 2 is coming soon and its likely to be expensive stuff as well.

If you don't like the vehicles then at least there's some better looking clothes and finally some jewellery to put on your character other than those basic chains we had before.

 

Personally, I love this update. I won't be buying the Osiris because it doesn't look all that nice in my opinion and is probably gonna be the new vehicle of choice for the 12 year olds and swagyoloers of the community, but I will definitely buy both the gold helicopter and plane.

Also the new clothes, chains and earrings are great. The watches look slightly disappointing, but still pretty good though.

I doubt it, because the 12 olds can't afford it and if they can, will think twice about dropping $2m on a car. I think this car will remain somewhat unique as less will buy it. It is all about the money, not necessary about the performance.

 

I wasn't planning on buying it, but after reading this forum, I think I will.

Great post I like the update also and every time I go to a shop I see an out fit that I just have to have. I only wish this update had new jobs and contact missions its been awhile and yes I want that gold Luxor. I'm willing to buy a 20 dollar cash card so I could buy that and the Osiris I don't care what anyone thinks. Gold shoes, gold pants gold jets! All gold every thing! I am gold member! Well I don't necessarily think the Osiris looks bad, but it doesn't look good either in my opinion. Also I don't feel like I need another super car as my Entity and Turismo are good enough.

 

As for the gold plane and helictoper, I don't know how to justify them. Yes they're both a massive waste of money but I just want them lol.

Kinda like how the Kraken is pretty much useless but I still want to buy it after I've bought all I need and have some spare cash just because it looks interesting.

The whole point of the update is that it's all vulgar, gaudy stuff that nobody in their right mind would waste their money on (except the Stirling, that's just pure class). I've been around long enough to afford the lion's share of the new content, but I'm just not enough of a nouveau-riche tosspot to drop that kind of money on useless excess. OP's talking sense.

Being the first update after Heists were finally released, they HAD to make this stuff expensive.

 

There's been more than enough time to grind the Pacific Standard Heist and save a few millions.

I do think, like a lot of other people, the most expensive items (the gold aircrafts) are trap pieces. Much like some "rare" cars in some racing game someone mentioned in another forum that the developers put up for auction and watched as the prices went sky high and started banning people who were bidding on these cars. I've also been thinking that R* would probably add a back up right? Well what if that backup is buying everything but the plane and heli? I mean sitting here totalling everything up it starts to get pretty high, especially if you're buying for 2 characters. With all the clothes, jewelry, and the cars you're around 10mil easy. the cars alone total 3.965mil in stock form. Then i started to think, maybe it has nothing to do with what you buy, but instead, how much you spend and maybe R* is finally gonna crack down on hackers and modders and they're gonna do it as the dust settles with the second part of the update because the figure that people will see expensive this part of it is and either start hacking, glitching, and modding, or pick up their old tricks again. Maybe I'm just paranoid.
