Yesterday i`ve installed the latest patch and i`ll be damned if the wanted level didn`t get even worse than it already was. I have a feeling that the stars last longer after every patch and you get the wanted level even easier than before. Today i`ve noticed i can hardly steal a car without instantlly getting stars even if that wasn`t the case before. And the stars seem like they last forever. I punched a hitchiker on Mt. Gordo and BAM!!. 1 star the milisecond later. I don`t remember this before. I surely hope R* isn`t doing this on purpouse because the wanted level suck bad already. No need to make it even worse and more unrealistic. It`s not my imagination but however it could be something to do with my game only. Anyway, i`m kinda dissapointed because there`s impossible to do anything without getting an instant wanted level and having those idiots on your ass forever. Just as I drive away from the visible cop's radars, thinking I'm gonna make it, one or more radars suddenly appears right in front of me! The cop's firing aim is pathetically impeccable. Your idea is absurd, it's not changing. My memory is just fine. I clearly remember i didn`t get any wanted level for stealing the car unless a cop saw me, or if i ran over an NPC or if i waited long enough for NPC to report me. Before this patch i never got any wanted level for stealing the car. Nor did i for punching a ped (only 1 in a short period of time) in the mountains like i do now. Now i get an instant wanted level for every sh*t i do. It really kills all the fun. And it doesn`t make any sense for a GTA game. I wouldn`t mind if the whole thing would be realistic. Fine but cops spawning right infront of you 2 seconds after you punched a ped in the middle of Raton Canyon...well this sucks real bad. And it got worse after this patch. I talked to some of my friends and they all agree that it went even worse. I`ve even tested it yesterday and the the time taken for the wanted level to dissapear also increased for 5-10 real life seconds. If Rockstar aimed the whole wanted level and the police in V to make it realistic then i wouldn`t mind. But the problem is it`s only realistic in 1 aspect while being super silly unrealistic in 9 other aspects. And tbh, cops in V aren`t even hard to escape, they`re just annoying. As a matter of fact i hardly find them any more of a challenge than IV`s cops after i got used to them. But they are just super annoying thing that ruin your fun playing this game. Because i`m really not always in the mood of loosing them for like few minutes everytime i do some minor offence. Shoot someone`s tires in the middle of isolated road in Grapeseed? An instant 1 star that automatically popup so fast it would be impossible for a victim to even pick up the phone let alone report it to the police or let alone for the police to spawn right infront of my face so fast. Punch a ped on the top of Mt. Gordo without noone else around to report it? An instant wanted level! Steal a car from isolated carpark with noone around to report it? 1 star. It`s a f*cking GTA game, did you forget the real meaning of GTA games Rockstar? And please don`t tell me "cuz V iz dieferent game, itz more realistic lik dat" because i might die laughing. A game where cops arrive to the crime scene in 3 seconds, where they can catch you in the fastest car on earth, where a helicopter spawn right infornt of you in the middle of ocean and where cops don`t die when you head-on collide them at 120 mp/h....a game like this is everything but realistic. So the "realistic" excuse doesn`t make sense in case of GTA V. Yes, this is what the things look like after the latest patch. I know it was always pretty screwed up wanted level but it was bearable once you got used to it. But now it`s a huge f*cking annoyance that kills all the fun. Just drive off the road and you`re pretty much good. The only thing you have to watch is the choppers. I don`t even need to go into the LS metro at 5 stars no more. They are very easy to evade because their AI is broken and dumb BUT they are ANNOYING. There`s a big idfference between being challenging or just annoying. I said i`m not in the mood for evading them few minutes everytime after i steal a car after this patch and you somehow managed to twist my words and turn it into "ow yu suck at GTA yu need da skills" Lol, if you`re happy to waste 1 hour per day just to escaping those assholes then good for you. But i`m a very busy man and i can hardly find a free hour to play V. I really don`t have time to spend it on escaping the cops unless when i`m in the mood for having a cop shootouts. And it`s funny how they were mentioning in those trailers how this police in V will be more challenging and hard. Turned out, they aren`t a bit harder than IV`s, but they are sure as hell annoying. I would give anything to have challenging and realistic cops. Instead i only got unrealistic and annoying cops. And they make it even worse after every patch. I really don`t get this logic. I think poison oak is annoying, but it's easy to spot and takes two steps to walk around it. Maybe it's just me, but unless I'm at 3-stars with the chopper coming, cops are only a minor detour. Most of the time (again, maybe it's just me) you can just duck into an alley, or behind a hill or whatever, then go along your merry way when they pass. I see an ant-hill, you see a mountain. *shrug* Also, re-reading your post again, you do mention they can catch you in the fastest car on earth... now THAT I'd like to see. Personally, I've learned not to try to outrun cops on any freeway/highway, because it's just too easy for them to spawn in front of you. I always stick to twisting roads with lots of turns, and at least one area where I can go off-road. But I guess we don't always have that option. The wanted level system is still broken though, you can get wanted for many crimes without peds reporting you, and animals can call the police. Sometimes i really doubt if those designers at R* actually played this game for themselves instead of just testing it by the computers before they released it? It`s probably the last one because if they`d play it they might just realize how bad they screwed the wanted level and how annoying it is. It`s a shame really because the game would be 50% better if it`d have better wanted level. Instead they would patch this, they are giving us the gold yusuf amir gun paints. Lol As for the birds reporting you, i wouldn`t know if that`s actually true or people just joke about it but i wouldn`t be so surprised if that would be the reason for getting a wanted level in one milisecond after punching a lonely hiker on the top of Mt. Gordo. Or maybe it`s just coded this way. Commit a crime- instant wanted level without anyone even reporting you. It sure isn`t fun for a GTA. Animals are categorized the same way as peds, being call law enforcement if they witness a crime. Some crimes will just flat out give you a wanted level regardless of whether you were reported or not.
