Gforce
If you ccan get the game registered with your RGSC account using your serial number, you can download the game from the R* server, you need to find the setup file called "GTAV_Setup_Tool.exe" this won't help resolve the damaged discs, but it should allow the game to download once your serial has been linked to your RGSC account. also try registering via this R* link https://socialclub.rockstargames.com/activate
Slam_Jones
This is why I love Steam. Issues like this never become issues Hope you find a solution, though! THEN00B
Gforce
with a legit serial number, nobody actually needs steam, just the serial code and an RGSC account, you still download the game, but don't have a 3rd party lump of sh*t client sitting between yourself and the game that needs updating whenever there is an issue

OT: The best thing you can do is contact whoever you bought it from for a replacement copy or you can try one of those disc repair kits but they only work if the scratch is on the surface THEN00B

Acidworm
I remember years ago back in the days before DVD's and we had the big cardboard boxes with CDs. I bought the game, Driver (the first one) for my birthday and everything was in the box except the CD... I called the store (EB games in the UK which has since been bought out by GAME) and the guy told me to just come in and they would give me a new CD. WHen I showed up and the guy was giving me the CD, the manager came over and began to give me a hard time but gave it to me after I explained I was just told to come in when I called. Long story short, call the store explaining the situation and go from there. I miss having physical copies when I buy games, but the convenience of Steam and not having to worry about things like scratched discs and being able to have a virtual library you can access anywhere that has internet is awesome. I also love the sales of Steam and get most of my games that way. Edited October 15, 2015 by Acidworm
