DJCHRISRECTOR
Ok, this is something that just boggles my mind to this day (playing GTA5 online sense early Nov 2013) Players voting Freemode on the voting screen, (your all friends or a crew, fine) but 90% of the time, we all know, that's not the case. So it's like, OMG!! just quit, why are you waiting to see if everyone votes freemode with you?(it never happens) You look like a Dumbass!! jtet37, NuclearRain777 and JC Hammer

livejoker
It doesn't really affect you, though...It's better for them to vote instead of waiting a few more seconds for the majority (or host) vote to be done. The voting screen is like a bus going to a concert and those choosing freeroam are those that have second thoughts of that concert and just step out when the bus stops. It doesn't affect you and if the bus gets empty you can find a random bus (Random, in this case) and migrate bus driver and passengers and going to a whole new concert. No idea why this boggles your mind. I wouldn't read world news if I were you. MyNameJeff, zXy, LeakyLine and 3 others
RogerWho
Everyone who votes for freemode will go to freemode when voting ends. So it's not "I vote for freemode but if you vote for something else I'll play that." You are definitely going away. And why vote freemode and not quit? Because there's a chance that if all people on the voting screen vote freemode, they'll end up in the same lobby, or at least some of them. If you quit, you just end up in whatever random lobby the game assigns to you. Even if you don't know this, I find it extremely peculiar that something like that would bother you. Like joker says, don't watch the news. livejoker and Pyro_Indigo

livejoker
Ok Circle and eX or B and A what are they waiting for?!!! I like to think that if R* didn't include the freeroam option people would moan that there's no way to exit, having to follow the group to the new lobby. Not everyone can see the Quit button at the bottom of the screen. If you were R* you need to assume everyone is an idiot.

Sure they could just press B or circle or ex like you said but meh some people just don't want to do that, like me but that doesn't mean I'm a dumbass for voting for freemode I'm just used to picking that option. I'm also curious what is the difference between just quitting the voting screen and voting for free roam? They both seem to do the same thing. Pentalarc
So if I'm out of snacks or armor I'm supposed to. . .what? And if that boggles your mind, how about this: IT's you. They're voting freemode to get away from you. You did something. Also, every time you cry, and angel masturbates. . .or something. size_m
the difference is that there are cases in which it would be interesting for others to see if you want to continue any mission from voting screen or if you wanna leave to adjust their decision. especially if there is no communication between them. Wrong, quitting is done by players who've been spawn killed and robbed by their team mates!! Quiting puts you in your own lobby, freemode will have you all spawn in the same one at the same place I've quit every voting screen since my first character was level 20 something
markyhitch
I always select quit if the randoms made a complete f*ck-up of an easy mission, which sadly, is most of the time. wh1t31v3y
I play in inv only sessions so as to not have to deal with the freemode deathmatch. If I play a mission with randoms (quick job) I vote freemode to get placed back into an invite session. If I quit it will send me to public. Also quitting out resets your accumulated job points. If you have been playing "sense" nov 2013 and don't know those basic things maybe you are the dumbass

Because you stay in the session (and therefore player pool) that you were in when you launched the game if you are host and if you joined the game then you join that host in their session/player pool. If you just press O X, then you get dropped into the next available session which may be in a practically empty player pool. Hove fun trying to host and fill the room. I have found that if I stick around a session long enough (and therefore stay in the same player pool, then after a while I have a good chance of filling rooms relatively easily. If you constantly jump from session to session then you will likely get placed into a newer player pool that has less players to receive your invites or fo you to receive invites from. Aunty Fascist
Some people don't like public lobbies. I'm one of them. So if I vote "freemode" I usually go back to a private lobby, from where I started the mission or whatever in the first place. If I just quit I end up in a public lobby more often than not. I've said it before and I'll say it again: why are people so freaking judgey on here? Maybe people like to do things different than you, doesn't make them a dumbass, just makes you judgmental.
