Meh, someone had said that Broughy doesn't even do a good number of laps (for me I'd be looking at 10+) and take the average from them all, so best is what feels right to you.

Quickest or fastest again depends on your driving, but the game's files can't be argued with really. Pigalle's brakes are actually better than the Stirling's, but the Stirling is better than the Casco. Interestingly the brakes are better on the Z-Type than the Casco, as less Mass and Drag so in theory should be much quicker.

No the Stirling GT absolutely destroys everything in the Sportsclassics class.Do a few laps in each and you'll see the huge difference. It's brakes and the traction it gets from its spoiler is what helps make it so fast. And Broughy does quite a bit more than 10 laps I can assure you.He also has done several thousand laps of that track so he knows it far better than the back of his hand.

I've got a Pigalle in my racing garage for Sports classic class, put the Sterling in my Vintage garage

Sterling is probably faster but I'm use to racing the Pigalle

Oh yeah just clocked the pigalle wasn't in the poll lol

All this time and still people know nothing about this class lol

I will eventually buy a Stirling and do some testing against the real contender on tight tracks in this class...lol you guys make me laugh

Casco. I just did a 4 way drag with that, a z-type, a monroe, and the stirling gt. Both casco and z-type pulled ahead and casco won on the runway, but given if its a race on a freeway the z-type would catch the casco.

Top three so far:

1.) Feltzer Classic (Deal with it. There's a Coquette Classic. And it was the Feltzer Classic. So it's the Feltzer Classic.)

2.) Z-Type

3.) Stinger GT

The vehicle's model is called "feltzer3", suggesting that this is the predecessor to the Feltzer.
This is further evidenced by the vehicle's beta name: Feltzer Classic.
How did you get Stinger GT in there? What?

I voted for the Feltzer Classic because it's imaginary..and imaginary cars can go as fast as you can possibly imagine.

That was the beta name for the car.

Doesn't matter what anyone thinks anymore. The Stirling GT is nothing but a Zentoro disguised as a classic sports car. Totally unrealistic, and makes racing in the Sports Classic category pretty pointless going forward.

Beta name for Stirling GT as stated earlier. I have no idea why Rockstar didn't stick with this.

The correct answer is the Stirling GT.

Maybe you were being sarcastic(?) but it's probably because the Stirling GT bears no relevance to the Feltzer.

The correct answer is Feltzer3, because this is what the game files refer to it as.

^ I wasn't discussing the name of it, but if you have to back your point up with "because that's what the game files refer to it as", then you're automatically wrong.

Thought I would add a bit to this as I have been doing some private testing. Call it anecdotal if you want, I am just reporting my own observations. Hopefully it can help people looking for some info on the class.

Using the creator I made two short courses. A 0.4 mile dragstrip on highway surface and a longer 2.0 mile sprint course comprising 0.6 mile straight, long right curve, long left curve, then approx 0.6 mile uphill climb. Uneven road surface in places but all circumstances were possible for vehicles to be wide-open throttle at all times. All vehicles were standard, no mods, and from a standing start (no boost). Did it as scientifically as possible. Took a lot of samples (minimum 5 per vehicle) and removed all possible variables, no traffic, dry weather etc. Times are best times, not averages.

0.4 mile drag. (650m)

All vehicles recorded times in the 14 sec range EXCEPT:

Z-Type -13.9

Coquette Classic - 12.7

Roosevelt - Over 15....

Coquette Classic was significantly faster off the line, more than a whole second quicker, and consistently recording 12.7 seconds. 3/5 at 12.7, 1/5 at 12.9 1/5 at 13.2.

The Z-type was the only other vehicle to break 14 seconds, and then only on 2 of its runs and only by one tenth.

2.0 mile sprint. (3,200m)

Z-type - 48s

Coquette, Casco, Pigalle, Monroe - 49s

Stirling, JB-700 - 53s

Stinger - 54s

Roosevelt - 60s

The Z-type was fastest, but it's worth noting it only broke 49 by the smallest fraction, running 48.9 several times. Also notable as the only to record a DNF due to crashing out.

Coquette ran well but clearly lost a lot of ground after the opening half mile, considering it would have been a second and a half clear of most others.

Had this been recording averages the Monroe would have fared worse as it mostly scored around 51/52, except for one particularly good run, and these are best times.

Surprising results for the Stirling, ran it time and time again but would not break 53s. It seemed to deal poorly with the final uphill stretch recording some of the lower terminal speeds.

Conclusions

The Coquette Classic is impressive off the line but does not stay ahead for long. The Z-type runs consistently quickly, but does not turn as well as the others, if you run into a corner off-line or need to make a change of direction (as is often the case when racing other vehicles) the Z-type can have problems. It was the only vehicle to run wide on the sprint course and crash. An error on my part perhaps, but still, no other car did the same. The Pigalle scored very well in general though some people might not like the front-wheel drive or muted engine noise. Probably gives the most "bang for your buck" as under $400k is A LOT less than most of the others. The Monroe looks good value too. The Roosevelt was, by a huge margin, the slowest and the JB-700 also lagged behind the others. The Stirling did turn very well, and I think would benefit most from the mod-shop as improvements in this class are largely power based. The results for the Stinger were a bit disappointing. Worth noting the version was the regular (non-GT) version.

Disclaimer:

You will almost certainly see different findings elsewhere. My results are from 2 short point-to-point courses and are not indicative of "racing" conditions.

I have no bias at all, I do not own any of these cars and I am not campaigning for any manufacturers :p

I hope someone finds this information helpful. If you do use this information in relation to research for purchases of your own, you do so entirely at your own risk.
