Perfect response for heist randoms who want "25%"

didnt realize this would cause huge arguements

It's a rather hot topic of debate that's been started (and even ended) several times already. Still, everybody involved has managed to bring interesting considerations as to what they prefer and how it works for them. Nobody's really in the wrong as long as they're content with the results.

Btw, I read a few of your posts and you sound like the type of person who lets people take advantage of him because you think it'll make you friends. I got some news for you, what makes you friends is having a sense of self-respect and self-worth, not being a pushover and giving away all your rightfully earned cash because you think it'll make people like you more. You think any of those people you gave 30% cuts like you for you, or like you for being their own personal piggy bank they can count on for a short, quick infusion of gta cash? It might be for you, but it definitely didn't start out that way. And I can guarantee you have some people on your friends list who don't like you but keep you around so you'll keep making them money.

Get a clue.

I really don't get why players bitch about how their 15 or 20% cut really isn't worth their time, but then they insist on accepting anyway and wasting their time (and everyone else's) playing the heist and trolling the host out of spite for a zero dollar payday. Is zero dollars somehow worth more to you than a 15% cut or just playing with someone else? Why don't they just leave or host their own heists if they want to dictate payoffs? Wasting someone's time for no money just because you thought you were worth more than an offer is pointless and makes no sense whatsoever.

oh yeah, a lot more common responses I should address:

"you get what you pay for"

no, you don't. I could just as easily pay 25% for someone who sucks as 15% for someone who gets good results. I have no way of knowing beforehand how you will perform. If you are some random (as is stated in the TITLE) I have no way of knowing whether you are good or not. Paying you more isn't going to somehow turn you into a better player.

Also, I don't think paying more will motivate players to be better. For me, pay is all or nothing. You either pass the heists and get your cut, or you take longer, in which case you get the same payout you AGREED TO BEFORE THE HEIST but it just takes you longer. Or, you fail and get zero dollars for your time. It is in everyone's best interests to finish quickly and efficiently, not just the host's.

"you can't adjust in increments of 3%"

People who demand 25% have no way of knowing this, since they have never hosted their own heists. If they had, they would realize why 25% is a ridiculous amount for a random to ask.

"invite players from your last heist/setup"

that's the first thing I do. They do not always accept. In fact, they don't accept most of the time. Also, not all of the people who I played with last are good players I would want on my team anyway. If they are good, yeah I want them. Most of them were god awful which is why it took me so long to even get to the finale. At least good players are a bit more likely to stick around for a finale, they will usually leave if they find out it is just for a setup.

"you probably don't set it to player saved outfits"

Actually, I do. For one, because I don't want to wait five minutes while they play dressup; they choose one of their existing outfits, it is much quicker. Also, I know some of them know what the f*ck they're doing and have heavy armor in their saved outfits in case they need it. Personally, I don't need heavy armor, but I leave that choice for my crew just in case they do.

For the record, my new response was to just quit and replace them with a different crew if they made unreasonable demands. Now, I don't play heists. I don't like dealing with assholes, I'd rather make my own money playing survivals and missions than try to play with people who suck. It's too bad, heists would have been fun if it weren't for all the sh*tty experiences with randoms. I already completed all of them and have no more reason to put myself through anymore bullsh*t.

I wish more people would set it to player saved outfits. I'd much rather have my armor outfit during the PS finale on a bike than a suit. Granted I know what im doing and can certainly finish without it, but things happen, and normally, i'd rather play it safe.

That's how I feel about it. I've had to explain to some people multiple times how and where to get the heavy armor and they still didn't get it. Some people are just f*cking too dense.

With the amount PS pays, i'd do the same, because I actually need money.

I'm heading to WDW, will be back in a week. Just hit Jokkr,Locutus and Agent up, they'll fill your pockets while im gone. When i get back we'll farm PS and make you stupid rich.

When I put this whole idea into motion about two weeks after heists had been released, I'd done so under no such misunderstanding. I didn't approach these people for friends (being kind and intelligent sort of gets those naturally), I drew them in with the offer of a decent income at the cost of the occasional favor. Some, like you have stated, are only in it for the money. I don't blame them or feel any regret for their pursuits and often encourage that they bother me only when they want more money. Others have actively joined my crew and partake less in heists and more in our odd flavor of shenanigans, such as free-roam VIP (bounty) convoys with insurgents, exploring fort Zancudo during missions, and even just flying circles around the island in a formation of fighters to keep the skies safe. Funny how some of the people you hire, eventually find something a little more valuable than any material item - trust.

As far as relationships? It's a mixed bag, but the act of purchasing friends was never a goal. A friend that can be bought, isn't worth having. As a result, I am indeed invested, though only in the people who don't hold up the masquerade that you're suggesting. Only in those, who aren't in it for the money.

If that doesn't fit into your desired image of who I am and what I do, I apologize. Between you and the other individual who confused me for a fire-fighter, I'm beginning to see that there's a lot of confusion as to what kind of a person I really am.

I never do heists with random because I'm a perfectionist. Randoms have many different play styles and abilities, and some just don't know simple things like taking cover and putting armour on etc

So you enjoy doing a host almost to completion just to mess it up on purpose? For what, a laugh? You are wasting your time and gaining next to nothing for your efforts. I for one would gladly do a heist for 10%. That is if the team isn't what you call trash.

I don't need the money. Hosts who pay less than 20% on hard difficulty are trolling. I return the favor. Read up through the thread and you'll see how it works. I can die at the end and still go through the fun parts of the heist. The cut scene at the end is all I miss out on. And then we get to replay it.

how about we start letting the rank system decide the pay outs?

the person (minus the leader) with the most platinums and golds gets the biggest cut all the way down to the person with the most bronzes getting the smallest cut out of the 4 of us.

thats like.... coinflip levels of fair.

I give all even cuts for finales, no questions asked. Usually 20% sometimes 15 if it's me and 3 randoms. Like someone said earlier in this thread, if you do a set up or two with me, you'll get a bigger finale. Cuz then I at least can see you're good at what you do and are reliable.

lately i have asked for 25% and once i even didn't select ready until the host gave me the 25%, it's because of the cost of virtual living.

So waste the time of two other entirely separate people because of your egocentric problems. You're a dickhead and think you're more important than everyone else.

Personally, I find it quite unfair to see a thread where the first reply is someone being a dick to the OP.

But frankly, this one was deserving.

Hosted Humane Labs last night. had 2 randoms and 1 friend join. The 2 randoms instantly readied at 15% I gave my friend 35% then set the higher ranked random to 35% and gave the lower rank 30% As soon as I did the 3rd guy bitched about getting less. LOL I cant go 0.35.35.35. We finished and missed the bonus because he landed outside the fence and had to walk around to get in.

I had a chance to directly join the prison break finale yesterday. My job was to be the pilot and the pay was 15%, but if my job changed that would be fine. The by far lowest level random guy (22) just wouldn't ready up (which got my eyes rolling because I just knew what to expect). When he finally decided to mic up he demanded to be demolitions (which the heist leader was selected to be at random) and to get 20%. I decided at that point to mic up myself and say, "right now, you've got two choices because you're a f-ing a-hole. You quit or I quit."

He said "You quit."

And I did because that's exactly the kind of garbage I won't tolerate. It saved me (and probably 2 other players) a bunch of headaches when this guy dies at least once because of the security guys at the helicopter.

I remember the 3 of us got a 15% cut, i didnt care because the Pacific Standard was already a handful when people were trying to go into their garages to get their Armored Kurumas.
