Perfect response for heist randoms who want "25%"

^ he just has to lower it 15% every 50 seconds. It's a complicated threat for your average GTAO player though...

I think they should allow the other players to choose their cut as a suggestion, then the host can change it if he doesn't agree.

I do 70/10/10/10 to randoms who didn't participate in the setups. For friends who didn't, I might extend it to 15%. If they are level 120 and above, have a mic, are adults and have the heavy combat outfit under player saved outfits then I'm willing to stretch it to 20%.

I wish there was a way of kicking people at the setup screen (where the cuts are decided).

Good luck getting any mug to do a heist for 10% LOL

only people I've seen accept 10% are low level noobs that fail 5-10 times before someone actually gets sick of failing and leaves...

If you want good players to help you with heist you gotta pay higher prices just like the single player heists.

Are you suggesting that the basis of this marketplace should be that quality and cost are in sync with one another?

This is outrageous. As the heist host, I should be able to pay whatever price I think is fair and the results should be the same. This kind of centrally planned model has never failed in history and in fact has lead to some of the highest quality products on the planet, like the Lada Niva.

(If you have to ask if I'm being sarcastic, then no. Fraid not. DEADLY serious. Not even sure what sarcasm means, eternally grateful to anyone who can elaborate...)

I tell them that if they don't like their cut that I'm giving them that they can leave and go elsewhere especially lower raked players who are terrible at all aspects of heist gameplay and end up dying and f*cking up all the time.

At 10% of any heist, I'm better off hopping a random A Titan of a Job and play a few 6-men contact missions from there.

Have fun heisting with a clueless crew that doesn't even know this simple fact.

I dont have any problems getting competent people at 10%. Those with experience realizes that 128K for robbing the bank and walking to my apartment and enjoying a ride in my armored Kuruma is a decent payout.

Considering you can't invite people from the pay screen, and it kicks you back to free roam no matter what, leaving does the job just fine.

You needed that explained to you and you have the balls to try and pay me 10%? Bout time you learnt some of the basics of the game.

Dumbass, its a game, it can be programmed any way the creators want, wouldnt be difficult to put a kick-button that kicks the player and takes the host and the others into the invite-screen instead of going back to freemode. Now you feel stupid, dont you? :)

I'm not sure you understand how a market works.

Right now in GTAO, it's a buyers market, not a sellers, and hosts are sellers.

I ready up for 15%. Less is insulting and I feel I deserve 20, but 15 is acceptable. As for hosting, I always give 40/20/20/20 and anyone who wants more can bite me. (A friend of mine always plays with me, always asks for 25, and never gets it. It's weird to me that his idea of fair is unfair to me as the host.)

I'm with the OP, i do the same thing or I'll say "press ready up NOW! or get kicked "

That usually works, good job op. We need more people like yourself

I already give 20% by default, 99% of time people are okay with it and we move onto the heist, however if someone start bothering that he wants 25% I just quit the whole thing and restart the heist.

Rather wait 10 minutes to fill another lobby than having to negotiate with randumbs, or having to deal with "haha i just ruined ur heist cuz no 25% xDD"

I know what you mean and if someone negotiates with me something reasonable il give it to him depending on how reliable he looks. There is no point giving a higher cut to less reliable players because it costs you time and money not just for me but for other crew members just like a business in the real world. So yes I do 'understand'.

I give 25% anyway. So yeah, not a problem for me. At least I'm doing something right cos I get thank you messages after a heist finale.

Anyone who finds themselves in a heist lobby with 3 other players and then does anything that may persuade one of those players to even think about leaving, is insane.

You say this, but I'm gonna be honest. I had a rank 1 join the Convoy Setup and I was absolutely amazed. AND HE ONLY HAD A PISTOL! He didn't die and was very good in some ways. I was the gunner in the Insurgent and he was the driver and he was, well, over doing it. Any longer with his driving skills and we would end up in the Alamo Sea. Sent him a text message saying to take it easy. He did exactly what I said and took the rest of the route with caution but still Keeping up with the Barracks and allowing me to take out Merryweather. Great rank 1 player if you ask me. Thumbs up to this guy.

That was most likely somebody's secondary character.

But that reminds me of a point I wanted to make... Newbs who join heists in the hope of easy money without bothering to go and learn anything about GTA are f*cking arseholes. The minimum level on heists should be at least 50 otherwise your low health and basic weaponry makes you a liability.

Really? I can go through heist setups like normal missions, and am often lucky enough to be invited to finales which are completed well under 15 minutes.

Grinding missions is a very slow and steady accumulation of money, whereas heists are still the best option for short term play with greater pay.

Nah, he was clearly new to Online, could tell by the way he was playing. Yeah I agree that Heists should unlock at a higher rank rather than 12. Then again, I wouldn't say they have basic weaponry. As soon as they start they have access to DLC weapons (which pissed me off), because when we started at the very beginning, we only had a pistol.

I think there sits an obligation with the prospective muscle to disclose their rates upfront. The host can make a decision if they want to meet that going rate, or hire cheaper. It's a bit of a blind transaction, because you are effectively relying on the honesty of the muscle to set a fair and market-tested rate for themselves and not to be an extension of the kids asking in free roam if anyone can give them money.

For example, Prison Break final? I ask for 20% and the pilot's role because I've the strongest success rate in that role and know how to most effectively lead Lazers to the Demos player. I am also adept at dodging police choppers at the end. That's because for my 20% I can guarantee that I will not be a factor in the heist failing but can guarantee I will strongly contribute to it.

I get the frustrations from the host's POV with people demanding, so there needs to be flexibility and honesty on both ends. If I've not done it often enough to claim expertise? 15% is fair. If the crew is pro and we've done the setups with no major issues? 15% doesn't phase me.

The notion that one party is inherently right and the other inherently greedy, selfish and wrong needs to die off as it's inaccurate.

= Fail, but not until we are almost done then fail at the last second. Pass it off as an accident and repeat until you decide to quit. or you could pay a fair rate and get it done in 1 try.

This is pretty much the case, and it's why my high-bidding at thirty percent for all crew members remains absolute. So far, I've gathered a large group of friends that are competent, dangerous and fast...allowing me to draw in more than most people could with their choice to afford the less qualified.

Offer stands - do a good job in a heist, and I'll take you on for jobs with constant payout of thirty percent, no arguments.

The response will probably consist of, "It looks like he crashed while trying to fly under a windmill. That's not really griefing, just bad flight skills.....we can't really act on someone that's not good at their job, sorry. Just don't hire him next time."

Precisely. ^

I'm not condoning the behaviour at all, and in fact I again need to point out that this is a transaction so both parties need to agree upfront on the split. Griefing is a petty response, as is underpaying people.

But actually demonstrating conclusively that the player is griefing is almost impossible in this case. Your reaction was a bit emotional and you should probably take a few moments to let the shame spiral slow to a halt.

The perfect response to a random that demands 25%?

"Show me a screenshot of your heists awards that shows you've completed the criminal mastermind challenge and I'll gladly give you 25% since I know you won't be wasting my time."

Tried it. Just crosses the professionals as snobby and uptight. I usually pay thirty percent and watch. If they're good enough, they make the cut. If they aren't, then I don't summon them for heists anymore.

A much simpler procedure that helps establish the only thing cash can't buy - trust.

Me too that's why when somebody trolls the payout I return the favor.

LOL. Prove I died on purpose or oops I cut some bodys head off with the helicopter, grounded the boat, drove through the tunnel, made a wrong turn. crashed the plane into the buzzard, got killed by a cop, etc. There's a thousand ways to Fail and you wont even realize it was intentional. Report away. If I report all the idiots who f*ck up on heists I'd have to report at least 1/2 the players.

I typically just kick any fools who fail the heist. 500 grand is worth 7 minutes of my time, and I'm not going to let incompetent players have 250,000.

even if you're a pro, acting like a jackass just proves you're as immature and incompetent as anyone else, in my eyes.
