Crate Drops this weekend

so anyone has an idea on what the rarest and most wanted items are that were found in crate drops(and that were legit ?), from beer hats to t-shirts ?

 

kinda want to make an outfit to race with that coud make people hate me even more so i can feed of the rage and feel even better

when it comes to beerhats you want to wear this...

for tshirts, you dont get more rare than this...

Haha, joke is on you. I have a verified shirt and none of my jobs got verified, thanks to the early days glitch. So that shirt is pretty much unlocked by alot of people.haha u know not everyone was on the ps3 version or 360. so its still rare unless u was a early player. plus there are tons of new players each day. case in point still rare even more now

You'd be shocked on how many people have it and don't even know it. All you needed to do was kill people with the minigun and I believe rocket launcher.

 

The elite challenge will/is the hardest one to get due to that f*ck up.

BTW someone's bound to post soon that they collected a special crate after the event ended, because they are still a (rare) free roam event. No clothing though.

players who missed out get another chance on these items.

Those were all only 1-day/1-chance shirts. In fact, until last December 18th, no limited time item (except the High Flyer parachute bag which had it's time extended) was ever offered again.

 

Players that missed the Statue of Happiness shirt last July only had about 6-8 hours to get it in December before that window closed, too.

Several people had that problem this time. That's why I get a screenshot of me waring the new shirt or of the message you get when you pick up the crate. I had 4 not save, but I either got a replacement in another crate or Support put it back when I show them the screenshot.

Contacft support, they can check if you give them the details of when the crate was collected and

add it to your game, it has been done in the past.

 

@ash_274 - That was the first time those items have been offered but that does not mean they won't

be offerred up again, plus don't forget the stocking from 25 Dec being offerred up again on 1 Jan.

I managed to get two crates. I got the The minigun came in both and before I got to use it both times I got kicked with the "Unknown Network Error" crap. I guess Rockstar did not want me to use the minigun. lol

I would have to say the rarest T-shirt/Top would be the KJAH Radio shirt:

 

Reason being, those 4 radio shirts were only available for one weekend, you had to collect a crate, as opposed to just signing in (like the hipster shirts) and there was no "dedicated day" for it (where you were guaranteed to get it id you collected a crate on a specific day).

 

The only other two shirts that never had a "dedicated day" for a crate was Vinyl Countdown (you got that for simply signing in, making it much easier than collecting a crate) and Statue of Happiness (which had around a half a "dedicated day" at the start of the Festive Surprise event and was also available for the entire month of July (Independence Day Special) and could also be gotten by using a glitch.

 

My argument against the Elite Challenge shirts would be that those can be gotten at any time. They might be currently the rarest, but as time goes and more people complete the Elite Challenge, the rarity will drop, where, unless they re-release the KJAH, there won't be any way to obtain it.

 

So, all things told, my vote would have to go to KJAH for likely being the rarest T-shirt/Top.

 

As for beer hats, the obvious answers are the Blarneys and JLager, as they are far more rare than the other 4. But, do you count those as "legit"?

 

If not, then kinda hard to tell which of the 4 other beer hats would be the "rarest"... They all had the same amount of time to drop and were all given their own "dedicated day" during the Festive Surprise. If pressed, I'd have to guess that the Supa Wet and Patriot hats could be slightly rarer, since their "dedicated days" were on Christmas Day and New Year's Eve... But, it would only be a guesss.

 

If you count Blarneys and J Lager, then it's certainly one of those two. The only thing we coud really go on is how many pics have been posted of each of those two hats. Going on that, I'd have to say that J Lager is probably a bit rarer, but again, it's just a guess based on seeing people posting pics with Blarneys more than J Lager.

 

So, based on the info, I'd have to say that an outfit of the KJAH T-shirt/Top and the J Lager beer hat would be one that not many players would e able to create.

Managed to get about 7 crates. Had some time to get online so I took every opportunity I had. Missed a few of them but with some patience and on a couple occasions passive mode, the crates fell into my hands and I managed to get all of the tops... Only wanted two of them, but when the crate drops are coming, why do anything else? Free money and a whole lot of fun when against other players

Yeah, I covered that in my post... They're likely the rarest now. The difference is, they aren't going anywhere. The KJAH shirt, you either got on a single weekend where there were no guarantees of which shirt you would get, or you were out of luck.

 

No doubt, the Elite shirts are few and far between, but the opportunity to get them is there, while there is no longer any way of acquiring the KJAH.

 

On top of that, the person I responded to specifically said "in crate drops." The Elite shirts don't come in crates.

 

Just my opinions, based on opportunity to acquire, difficulty to acquire and following the poster's parameters.

 

I'm personally looking to get the Elite shirts myself, so certainly not knocking them. I just think that, over time, they won't be as rare as the KJAH will be, because the Elite shirts are actually acquirable, where the KJAH is not.

 

It'd be interesting to see what people are missing, if they have actively been trying to collect the items.

No argument whatsoever there... All's I was going off of was rarity in my post.

 

To be fair, not all people that get crates use lagswitches... I've gotten every Event item possible and don't even know how to use a lagswitch.

(Disclaimer: any shirt or hat can be unlocked by modding tools at any time, so there's really nothing that's more difficult to get than others; it just depends on what lengths you're willing to take to have them)

 

Elite Challenge shirts are certainly a badge of honor. I have them on lime cloth to match the Blarney's hat. Also, the pattern is bold and unique enough that even old-gen players can see if someone is wearing one through the blurryness. It takes skill of all four players and some luck that the game doesn't mess it up for you to get all five challenges done. Sadistic Rockstar people came up with the time limits for them. Yes, there's no time limit on them (or on any of the Reward Shirts), but it takes significant effort and teamwork.

 

The "extra special" beer hats could be gotten without modding, but it took a specific set of (repeatable) circumstances during the beer hat days during the Festive Event to get them. I got the J's Lager hat that way.

 

The "Lonliest Robot in Britain" is certainly rare because only PC players that submitted a video to a contest got one... but none of that was difficult to do, so it's rare (few players have it), but not too special (little effort needed).

Even easier are the "OG"/"Original Gangster shirts" because you only had to transfer accounts from old-gen to new-gen/PC. All that tells other players is you paid for the same game twice.

 

The "Asshole" shirt is rare, but it's also an instant "This guy's account was modded!" red flag.

Since Rockstar decided that letting hosts keep 100% of the heist take was going to be a bad idea, they pulled that shirt and the award for doing such a thing from the game, but left the shirt in the code.

As of today, there are up to 35 legitimate Special Tops for old-gen players (plus the "a-hole" shirt); 39(+1?) for PS4/XBone, and 40(+1) for PC.

I read that new-gen doesn't have the a-hole shirt in the code, but I can't verify that.

 

The Independence Day hats/headgear are also in the Special Hats category so there are 13 possible to own (including all six beer hats.
