gajrajgchouhan
8K Videos are making its way to Youtube .The clip's called Ghost Towns, shot using a RED Epic Dragon 6K camera in portrait orientation and then upscaled. According to YouTube, the platform supported 8K video uploads since 2010.The first 8K video on YouTube is a short film called Ghost Towns, shot by a RED Epic Dragon 6K and then processed in Adobe After Effects. A few shots were scaled up by 125% from 6.1k to meet the 7.6 standard. The playback currently works in Chrome. You can check out the 8K video here. Can you play it.? swirler
Its just a PR bit ;p Theres next to no one that can watch that at 8k And thats unlikely to change any time soon. Its not like its a great new tech, they have np getting pixels onto displays now, its more a question of cost to make, demand, and content. 4k will be the next widely adopted standard, and content for that is still pretty light, Netflix is my highest source of 4k material atm. Norsea
I'll just stick with 720p for now It's good enough for me! I don't ever see myself using anything above 1080p in the next decade, Link to comment https://gtaforums.com/topic/800096-first-8k-video-on-youtube/?do=findComment&comment=1067597302 Share on other sites

Andreaz1
How close to the screen do you have to be sitting in order to tell the difference between 4K and 8K? Sometimes tech moves too fast, for the moment there's just no need for 8K to begin with. Kampret
... great, i guess? My PC can't even handle 1440p YouTube streaming thanks to bandwidth constraints, let alone 4K, or even 8K. You won't notice any difference anyway unless your PC is a native 8K display.
