Some people now are a bit too prone to scream hacker because a person is in passive mode, or has a tank (which doesn't seem that strong). If I get blown up in my apartment or see other clear evidence of a hacker, I switch lobby. Someone screeching hacker isn't evidence. There is some update coming supposedly. Maybe, there'll be a day or two soon without hackers in every other lobby.

They did manage to shut down the mod menus on the older consoles before. It also had a script that was downloaded each time so they could update with hotfixes if needed. If I understand this some how got broken in the heist release which is why we have the sudden explosion of modders.

 

everything got broken by/in the heist update/patch so that's no surprise. they need to start working on the god mode exploits (one of which was caused by the heist update/patch, and the second of which has gone on since at least January) on next gen while they can still get ahead of it. They managed to fall behind on it on old gen and that is partly why the old gen is such a mess now, and if they keep ignoring the exploits on next gen like they have been, the same will happen on next gen.

Just wondering if anything is going to be done with this update to address this rampant issue?

 

I had briefly combed through Rockstar's page but didn't find anything regarding fixes or such... frankly, getting very tired of 90% of lobbies I enter having someone modding / hacking in some fashion.

What platform are you on? I am on PS4, played everyday for 4 months and have come across just one.

 

You have not come across one modder or hacker on ps4.. since the consoles have not been jailbroken..

And when they disable passive mode, they'll be shown properly as usual. This is PC though so don't know about Xbox One or PS4.

Of course, Xbox 360's (& PS3) passive mode doesn't work the same way.

Ahh yeah that one is possible still, I think. Not even tried it myself so wouldn't know about this one for PC.

 

i know it works like that, i saw a vid like that, i beleve the uploader described it as a counter mesure against the homing launcher.....misiles i can even avoid on old gen, so with other words, power to the noob(im not even good with a jet)

so with other words, i have a great reason to stay were i am.

also the content given to people that transfered.....it doesnt even make my pants feel moist

i probably woud still not transfer with a 80 percent discount on the new game, unless i had the posibility to return to old gen

Since i got my PS4 I don't run into many modders. On Ps3 (Only had PS4 for about a week) they were everywhere (blame this on Sony, not Rockstar, its Sony's dirty way of forcing people to buy a PS4. IE: let LG fill up with so many glitches it forces you to move on to NG). When I was on PS3 most modders were cool, I usually would get them to drop me a couple mill, no issues, out dat bish like a fat king, buy me a few adders to transfer the money to non-takable money. Contrary to the belief a lot of modders are cool if you don't b*tch. In addition, its easy to become a modder on LG, just Youtube it.

I think a major change needs to be done. GTA:Online has a host of problems and most of them stem from "player vs. player violence". Tank griefers, god glitchers, and passive abusers all fall into this category. Online has become a warzone. All those wonderful examples of group play shown in the launch trailer never happen in Online. Everybody is to busy trying to kill each other, or avoiding getting killed. So I have a very simple fix. Make every lobby a passive lobby. No one can kill anyone except if they have a bounty or if they accept a 1v1 (invite sent through phone). If you want to kill people, go to a deathmatch. Pretty much model this games online after Destiny's.

Just follow the SA:MP design and have different servers for different game modes or activities, if anything...
