My guess was they've given us an extra day to earn money but then I remembered about Sharkcards. More pre-warning of a DLC would usually mean less shark card sales I would have thought. I'm not sure about anyone else but I'm glad we've been given an extra day so I can earn some dollars.

I don't think Rockstar gives a sh*t about anything else being announced or coming out. People keep looking for the next GTA killer, and 99% of them have failed miserably at it...looking at you, Watch Dogs.

 

Iknow Elder Scrolls is going to be huge, but GTA has such a solid base of players and sold in such great volume that I truly don't think much will knock it from it's perch except GTA 6.

 

They aimed for Wednesday because that's probably the day after when they're done QA/Testing the update.

Couldn't it just be something as simple as June 8th being the cutoff for the Editor submission to get the shirt? If the cutoff is at midnight, and they want to give people the shirt with the update, it could just cause too much overlap without that one day buffer in between.

Holy sh*t, I forgot Elderscrolls Online was a thing. ESO failed worse than a ventriloquist performance for the deaf on the PC and Bethseda is just trying to salvage every last cent they can by giving it to consolers who never experienced mods (main reason why ESO failed) I guess.

 

You could be right about ESO, does seem strange it is released today.

I suspect that the updates may have to be booked in advance and for one reason or another (possibly another title being released) they couldn't get a Tuesday slot so had to settle for Wednesday.
