How Do You Make "Friends" On GTAO?

I follow people then kill them over and over and over again when they respawn. I then message them saying "sorry I thought you were someone else". They accept my request and we go on adventures and I sweet talk them. Then I blow them up. Rinse and repeat.

 

I break them down from a Theon Grejoy to Reek. They don't become my friends, they become mine.

I usually go after the morons that are talking sh*t over the headset. And if you're a racist, even better. Nothing bonds a lobby more than some douche on a headset. So i tend to make friends this way, just screwing around in freeroam. The only time I don't go after someone that the lobby feels the need to is with kids and women. f*ck that, I don't abuse them.

 

Also I make friends during heists. I'll request you if you seem cool.

train a newbie into a heist professional or dangerous killing machine , boost their income by bringing them in high paying jobs , bringing them in boneyard survival & giving them some tips how to survive in grand theft auto world ( e.g with regard of traditional GTA auto-aim , user can take out multiple enemies in single magazine effortlessly , suggesting them to buy DLC weapons or getting sultan , etc )

 

some " clients " want to hire me as heist member because i can kill horde of enemies with ease , low chance of dying ( even without using both snacks or reserve armors ) , high defense , tactician , nearly complete arsenal weapon & can even handle stealth heist like deliver EMP , single handedly assassinating all guards and scientists . the only bad news are i'm usually lag , my PS3 is on verge of YLOD and last but not least , my controller broke . i planned to transfer though

I get a lot of requests, but I don't tend to add randoms. They always end up sitting in my Friends List and I never play with them again. Have added a load of people on here as an alternative, feel like I know them more, and actually play with people from here when I get the chance.

I only send friend requests to players who:

 

Didn't shoot me on sight when I drove past

Played a Heist and seemed fairly competent/awesome

Helped me when I was being griefed

Is a low level who clearly needed help and didn't attack me on sight either

I have had a good sniping match or gun battle with for a while

 

Most of these friends are usually good guys to invite to subsequent heists or missions

Most people who friend request me are from survivals, missions, and heists (but I don't do heists anymore). Survivals are where I get the most though.

Making friends in FR is like looking for a spouse in a bar. I joined the right crew. All are my friends. I get tons of friend reqs I think due to my lvl and my sweet ass. If I sent a friend req, it was because they played like they had a brain in a heist/mission, were not in IGN and your nickname didn't look like my router password. Really, just the play like you have a brain is mostly what it takes. And I know that high lvl means you like doing missions more than FR killing but that is also why if you are under lvl 200, you probably don't play like I do therefore we would not be compatible.

Never free roam. Always missions. The last friend I made was on the opposite team of a Deathmatch. He sent me a PSN message after the match asking about my bullet proof helm and we stayed in touch helping each other out with daily objectives now and then.

So far, I think the best way to make friends on GTAO is by finding a good crew. The second best way is by doing missions with randoms. If someone is decent-acting, I'll usually friend request them on Social Club. I never friend request anyone who blatantly disrespects me or other players.

a lot of my people i play gta online with ive met during missions.

Same with me, I always accept a friend request after a fun and long mission run.

Happens more often since they changed the mission selection screen after finishing a mission to what it is now.

Splitting up the lobby happens less often since we can keep picking the same type of job, one of the best additions with the heists update imho.

When I do missions or heists, players that actually are good and stick around mission after mission I usually add. Or sometimes maybe doing a heist and we all get connection dropped I'll add everyone to re meet up and end up keeping them as friends. I don't really play with alot of them though, only a few. Others usually have there own agendas which I'm not interested in, or I just don't feel like talking since one of my friends always use mic and is chatty but I only use mic if friends are and even then I'm not at all chatty.. So I guess they're just there for missions when they like to accept occasionally.

 

Never made a free roam friend since I don't really stick in free roam and I only play invite only sessions now.

The best way, in my experience, is to do a heist with someone, and communicate with them (either text -- keyboards help, or with microphone). Do well, make money, they'll more often than not add you to their friends list, complete other heists with them, team up in free roam, etc.

Here are a few good ways to make friends;

 

Don't kill people for no reason, if people in the lobby see ___ killed ___ all the time then they're likely to kill you on sight or avoid you.

 

If you see someone to the sidewalk, honk once, repeatedly honking is annoying and would make people want to kill you.

 

See someone getting there ass kicked by a puff in a bulletproof vehicle? Go and get involved.

 

Host jobs, you're likely to find someone that would do loads with you, build up a friendship.
