With car meets starting to die off on the 360 im gonna throw my hand into the ring to help keep those of us left on the 360 having a good time. After being to alot of meets and alot of events and threw lots of failures I have (hopfully) learned how to host a successful car meet.

 

Now I'm sure some of you know me and lots of you don't and it could be alittle intimidating to join a brand new event but, because it is new we can turn this into one of the best on the forum.

RULES:

-mics are required, no kinect mics

-no trash talking or hate talk of any type

--everyone must be relaxed and behave no killing blowing up cars or trolling or youll never be back here.

Joining: to join this xbox 360 event you must simply leave your gamer tag and that you understand the theme

 

 

VOTING: voting categories include

• best in show
• car most likely to be driven in real life
• cleanest
• car you would want to own

never will we EVER vote on "ugliest car, most riced, ect." thats just disrespectful everyone thinks their ride is cool and no one here will tell you its not.

 

EVENTS: Everything youll need to know about whats going on in the next event can be found under this event sign so if your not a new comer you know right where to go to find info on the next event instead of having to read threw everything every time.

Check at what time you posted your thread. It says 1:07AM for me. If it's the same for you it means you're indeed EDT (same time as me). I'll convert the times for you once you confirm.

I can guarantee any meet from 1PM-1AM on weekdays, weekends it's more like 6PM-1AM. On weekends there's always the risk of me being taken away for the day and do chores/stuff. I'll try to make it nonetheless, don't change the time for me please.

The only rule I can't imply to is the "No Kinect Mics" which I do have one but, I'd still love to participate in this meet. Every Other rule I'm able to follow but I just have a Kinect Mic, would you be kindly enough to let me participate in this event??

I'm curious as to when Throttle can find a date to commit to. I know real life comes in the way (at the worst times, too!) but it's better to not host than post-poning things that people are interested in. It's better to make people ask "when's the next meet?" instead of "when's the meet"? See the difference? One has people asking for ANOTHER meet while the other has people asking when THE meet is. One is flattering, the other is like some loan shark asking for the money. Throttle, man, you're not giving yourself a good image by pushing this event time and time again. But on the other hand we're expecting a better meet due to more time to prepare.

 

Just make sure next date set is one you can make, Throttle. I know real life comes first but if you wanna do this side project you have to put some effort into it. Pushing it once more will make the few interested just move on. But knowing Throttle I'm sure it's gonna be a hit that's gonna make people ask, "when's the next meet".

It's a real shame that real life is such a burden to start this event. This thread is the one I like the most because of the rules (except the 18+ - I recently learned that one of the regulars for meets is only 14 years old and one of the coolest dudes ever - setting an age limit really pushes away a big group of players that can become regulars and pretty much grow up in your meets) and the car list is so well done; providing specific cars to choose from makes people want to join to show their pick and what they did to it. Once Throttle gets this thing going I doubt it's going to stop if that level of attention is set as a standard.

This isn't my thread/event so I can't talk on behalf of Throttle but with how few people are interested in this event, I'm sure an exception to that rule can be made. Typically, hosts will let Kinect-mic players in the lobby depending who they are (if they're known to the meet scene or to the host or other players/don't have a bad record) and how many people are in the lobby/interested. Putting the "no Kinect mic" rule is just to shy those players away as Kinect mics can get quite loud with background noises, feedback from TV, etc. Those genuinely interested, such as yourself, can be those exceptions and the host can then tell you how bad the sound is so you can fix it to become a regular/more bearable. I've heard so many bad Kinect mics but there's 1-2 players with Kinect mics that I play with regularly and that I let join my meets who are also regulars to meets.

I wouldn't worry about the Kinect too much, mate.

Sorry man I'm gonna redo my hole thead here bUT you will be garenteed a spot in my next meet. In the mean time check out livejoker page cause I know hes throwing a bday party for his buddy that you should look into

Thanks for the pointers tick and I see what you mean. Wasn't expecting to get called into work and I knoe if I do try to host when I get home I'd be to tired to do a good job as host. And that's a good point with the age as that's going to be taken off. The only thing left is looking for a good date for me to start but I'm gonna overhall the hole thread for the next meet instead of just pushing one back

And that's why I'm scared of anal.

 

Great to see that Throttle is saying, "you know what? Screw this last meet that I can't seem to start. Let's start over with a brand new thread - revise everything and make this first official meet the f*cking real deal." I love it!
