[PC] SDCC 5 Week Rally Event Starting June 13th.

adRocZ here posting an epic 5 week rally event GRC (GTA Rally Championship) that I think everyone will enjoy.

(FIRST EVER SHOW N DRAG GRC [GTA Rally Championship])

 

Yep I'm going to be hosting a real competition for real competitors in GTAV. Last week we hosted a rally race that was well received. We want to expand on that and bring out some real competitors and competition.

 

With that was birthed the GRC short for GTA Rally Championship.

 

WHAT IS GRC?

 

GRC is going to consist of 5 races over the course of 5 weeks. Each race will consist of a number of teams (depending on how many people sign up for it). We'll sign up, up to 32 players and have a total of up to 16 teams of 2. Each player will be randomly paired with another player.

 

After those teams are created, you'll be tasked with practicing the course at your leisure, as well as come to qualifiers, come up with a team color, and what vehicle you will use.

Please add your social club name as well as what country you are from. Sign up will close 12 AM Wednesday/Thursday Central US time. Qualifiers Thursday, those who can't qualify will just be placed in the back of the line. It's up to you guys to get your practices on your free time during the week.

 

After sign up's are done I will randomize the teams, and on qualifying night, get together and come up with your color/car/name.

 

CARS ALLOWED:

 

The following cars are allowed: So long as they have a roll cage and off-road tires installed. Each driver must have a helmet. (If it comes off in car don't worry) I just want videos to have some realism. It's fun

 

 

Rules/Points System

 

Each race will give points to a driver, each driver can obtain a max of 16 points down to a single point depending on their time on the course.

 

Once both drivers have run through, we'll total their points, a max of 32 can be obtained on any given stage, down to the lowest of 2.

 

If you don't finish the course, you get 0. If a driver doesn't show up, and you're a one man team, you gain 2 seconds on your finish time.

 

If your car gets damaged, you must continue racing with the damage. Even the co-driver. No replacing cars, otherwise you'll be disqualified for that run. If you're car get's destroyed or replaced, that's also a DNF.

 

This needs to be a very very chill event in order for it to wrk properly. NO FEFFING MODS. You get caught, you're done. No replacing cars. Period. You bring the cops, or cause an issue, kill someone, etc, you are DNF, kicked, done.

 

Everyone not racing is in the PIT on the beach. I will have designated people following the race, and watching the end, the beginning, and we can have spectators around the course.

So far all our meets have been pretty packed, and we've had on average 15-17 players per meet. Not bad considering we've only had three. The most successful event was June 6th's Off-Road Rally and Free For All. We had a blast last night, minus a few players who couldn't obey the rules. So I decided to rework this OP and also include the ban list and probation list. I will also be creating a rule's list that count for every, single, event we have from here on out.

 

ALL TIMES ARE NORTH AMERICA.

 

I'm also looking for EU members to be promoted if they'd like to host the exact same event at a friendly EU time so that they don't miss out. I'm husband, and am a father with two kids. I also work daily, so each meet is on a SATURDAY at 9PM CT GMT -5.

RULES

 

So here are the rules for all events. I want to bring a little bit of realism, competition, and fun to the game. In order to do that we need to have rules in place to balance everything:

 

1. Unless otherwise stated, do not swap cars during meets. Some specific events will allow this.
2. DO NOT kill anyone. You will get banned. This also includes killing someone who killed you. If someone kill's you, we'll see it, and initiate a kick. Done. No need to retaliate.
3. DO NOT blow up your cars to replace them. EVER. In order to replace it, ask a player to give you a ride further in the distance, and get it replaced. Done. No need to explode your cars.
4. Unless I want aerial footage, don't bring a non-car to a car meet. Period. You get a warning for the first offense (if you knew the rules) and then the second time, bye bye. Tired of seeing people in planes, etc..
5. If you're bored of waiting for the competition, and events, and feel the need to let loose and go on a rampage, do it somewhere else. You bring the cops, and you're kicked/banned. Last night we had an event that tested everyone's patience, most people were patient and excited about the competition. Some others couldn't sit still, you know who you are, and you have been warned.
6. If you want to stance your car, please do so, away from EVERYTHING. NPC's are drawn to your fire, so do it clear of everyone, and with a silenced weapon. Please.
7. DO NOT drive on a course laid out for a race, or competition. This includes drag strips, drift courses, and rally courses.
8. Last but definitely not least: UNMOD YOUR FREAKING GAME. Come to a game, with mods, I see you doing anything related to a mod, no matter how harmless, you're done, and out. No warnings, nothing. I have no tolerance for that.
9. HAVE MUTHA FREAKING FUN. Seriously, these rules are to help us enjoy our time. We'll have plenty of time for fun, last night we had a freaking blast and the ones left after rally we relaxed, and mostly chill. We lasted about 4 hours. An awesome competition, an awesome free roam across LS, and then a demo derby at the end.
