topeira
hi guys.strange things are happening with me GTAV game and the mods. 1. so this is weird - i had (have?) a mod called killstreak. it's a counter that counts every time i kill someone. it's a DLL file i put in the scripts folder. i didnt like the mod and so i removed the DLL file. i still see the mod working. same happens to me occasionally when i remove my ragdoll by pain mod. the mods completely seaze to function mostly if i remove the scripts folder or change that folder's name or remove the scripthook dot net ASI file. how da heck is that possible?2. another question - i have a mod called "riot mod". a wonderful fun ASI mod that spawns hostile peds. this mod has an INI file that allows to change the spawning peds' accuracy but it seemed like no matter what i set in the INI the AI is always a horrible shot. at least it was. sometime later i suddenly noticed their accuracy got a heck of a lot better and it started to follow what i put in the INI file, as it shouldnt have from the start.yet there hasnt been any update to the mod (the modder went dark a long while back so it's not like i installed a different version of the mod that DOES read the INI file better) and only, perhaps, an update to other tools (like scripthook dot net or something like that). sadly later i installed another mod that came with a scripthook dot net version that was meant for that mod and i over-wrote my current scripthook dot net and then the AI accuracy went back to $hit again. i never imagined that a ASI mod would change its behavior because of a scripthook dot net change so i didnt back it up. once i noticed the peds' AI from riot mod are no longer accurate (which 100% ruins the mod for me) i started DLing every scripthook dot net version there is online v06, v08 and v09 and even some other versions of this which might be new but i dont know where they came from (i got links to github from forums members. nothing official from the scripthook dot net mod page) but nothing managed to bring the peds' accuracy back and thus i lost my favorite mod (riot mod) that somehow by magic managed to work properly (ped managed to hit me) and then broke down again....3. i tried playing with a mod called "Farnsworth's Assassination Contracts" and when i press the K key it should spawn a assassination contract target someplace. sometimes i run the mod that the targets spawn fine. sometimes i reboot the game and press K and the targets seem to spawn then fall to their death or spawn under the map and the contract never sticks. it always fail to spawn properly. yet i dont change anything about the mod files. sometimes i boot up the game and it never works. sometimes it works all the time. another strage thing. 4. i tried running the game without any mods but i cant run the GTAV without the ASI files. without the scripthook and without scripthook dot net the game doesnt run. it says something is curropt. i pasted all of my backup files (X64v.rpf, update.rpf and common.rpf) yet the game doesnt run. i get to the menu but not the gameplay beyond it. in any case my game is funcioning weird and i'd like to hear some suggestions as to why that is. maybe i can fix this somehow. thanks to anyone who managed to read such a huge long wall of blabber. Fireboyd78
1) No clue. The only way I can see this happening is if you remove the DLL/ASI and don't restart GTA. 2 & 3) These are bugs you should report to the creators of the mods, it has nothing to do with the Script Hook itself. 4) If you're on the Steam version, verify the game integrity. You can verify the social club/retail versions with the -verify command line option as well
