Well, the people who say that have never really been to LA. Well I've been told that Google research gives you a better idea of what LA is like than actually being there, so... lol I wish I were kidding. Well, the people who say that have never really been to LA.So you guys think Hollywood Blvd and Sunset boulevard are exact matches to the real world then?Making the maps with the intent of having them be exact matches to the real thing isn't R*'s style, they like to have their own creative input on the cities they create, hence, "Los Santos", "Liberty City", "Las Venturas" etc. With that said, I'm from L.A, Hollywood to be exact, and no, Hollywood and Sunset Blvd in their entirety aren't exact matches but certain places here and there - bits and pieces certainly are, same goes for the rest of the map. It's been said before but SA is like a cliffsnotes to LA and parts of Socal, weird thing is, R* can get fixated on unremarkable yet very specific details and make damn near replicas of them in the game, this thread is filled with examples of that http://gtaforums.com/topic/491242-mapping-los-santos-buildinglandmark-analysis/page-1 TL;DR - Nope, but the game still "captures" L.A imo, and I live here. I think it was a poor representation of L.A. Hollywood is all wrong, not just "slightly off and stylized". And overall the city was far too small. Not to metnion the stupid placement of things like Sandy Shores in the north. Edited March 21, 2016 by Maibatsu545
