Vice Cry: Remastered

V is very similar to IV in hierarchy, but as of right now we haven't cracked all of the GTAV Placement files such as Ymaps and YTYP, which are equivelant to GTAIV's WPL and IDE. Although there is a workaround which is to use the FiveM client for GTAV to mimic the actions of the YMAP AND YTYP using a .JSON file.

 

TL;DR: its the same but the main files havent been cracked yet so we have to use fivem instead to load the map.

Needs more detail and texture for the lid, but i think the style should be ok.

All these conversions for GTA IV, such as the old LC, Vice City, San Andreas, none of these have been completed and released.

 

I'm just carefull what I wish for.

Of course, nearly half of the whole map is HD but I cannot release it with all the crashes due to no LOD's.

 

And will it be available for multiplayer too? (FiveM or another custom MP client) I wanna play on this remastered Vice City with others :D

Most likely when we can get this into the game without using FiveM i will look into other things.

as for the update, currently since I'm limited on File Limit I'm not sure if I should just release the update with just the new interiors and construction site, or if I should wait.

2nd Question answer: ^^^^

This entirely depends on the tool creators. Currently the only team\person that is likely to reverse engineer this is OpenIV or NTAuthority.

GTA V Import/Export filter is available in ZModeler 3.1.0

Zmodeler cant import or export peds because its designed for car modding .

plus even if I could import ped models they still wouldn't show up walking around VC. We need to make Nav files which havent been decoded yet

FiveM is dead. There is no map loader available. There is no tool to edit ingame maps. There are also no updates to show.

Good news guys! Now we can edit map files so this project can be continued) Im so waiting for this!

not quite yet... we still can't edit the actual map files such as ytyp and ymap. but soon.

Progress has been slow. Unfortunately since we don't have LOD's with FiveM yet I actually hit the limit. All the models that I'm converting from Vice Cry are HD, so there are more polys. The more polys in the world the more it has to load. But without the option to have level of distance models in place everything loads at once. Textures are also very high res and they are all dumped into a cache while you play, and eventually that cache becomes full and will crash your game. I will continue developing it the best I can but there won't be a major update til LOD's are in the game.

 

TLDR: I hit the model limit due to no LOD's in FiveM, Can't release an update til LOD's are added.

I have started to work on this mod again using Zmodeler3 and multifive, not the most ideal method but its all we have for now. Although I am limited to the amount of HD models in the game due to no LODS, I can still fix a lot of bugs and improve the mod overall. The next update is mainly focused on Night Life for Vice City, with custom neons and lights made by me, along with some other changes and fixes. Glad to be back on this project :) Expect an update soon :)
