Mintal Posted June 8, 2015 Share Posted June 8, 2015 (edited) Hey everyone, I know there were similar threads like this one in the past, but the ones I've found are older than one year and I didn't want to bump them. Maybe we can use this one as an official shootout locations/scenarios thread. So, since I've reached my second 100 % playthrough (first on Xbox 360, second on Xbox One) I'm looking for activities that keep the game interesting. Especially - no wonder - shootouts, rampages and general "role-play" shootout scenarios. The aggressive police AI makes it pretty challenging (to me at least), and I love the feature of hiding behind walls when you're out of sight. Hopefully R* keeps the general search system of the police in GTA VI (with a lot of fine tuning of course) At the moment I often go to Grove Street with Franklin in green clothes, provoke Ballas, giving them the finger and start huge shootouts involving the police. As a side note, a cool additional feature for that would be the "homie recruting" thing from SA. The other thing I've figured out is trying to get a five star wanted level while walking on the train, can be fun, too. Sneaking into the Altruist Cult and trying to stab those rednecks, or trying to explore Fort Zancudo and the prison are also pretty cool. So, what are your favourite locations/scenarios? There is plenty room space to good shootouts inside while changing covers.For me the building under construction right by the freeway in Alta. I start shooting any worker there, and once police get too strong, i climb one ladder. It is a three story building, every one provides a nice cover from choppers while also giving enough space to shoot em down. Once the cops are too rough, just parachute out of the construction site into the freeway to the underground tunnels opening or jack a car to an epic getaway. Can you imagine their AI is so stupid they can`t jump over the low suspension car? It looks like they are heavily scripted since they can jump over the tall fences but they can`t jump over tornado car. Because they aren`t programed to jump over moving obstructions. Their AI is only meant them climbing over specific objects that are scripted this way. After so many hours of play i know their every move and they feel easier than any GTA cops so far. Anyway then i`m going into the cover behind the counter in the store and have a huge shootout with them. Since the back doors are blocked they can`t jump me from behind. 2.) LS Metro. The sh*t is really intense. Anyway for supposed "super smart" cops they sure are dumb idiots. They can`t jump or climb over the slightest obstruction (like a vehicle) i set them up. Besides they are pure kamikaze. You`re shooting into the entrance with minigun and those morons keep running in, straight onto the bullet. Thank god real life cops aren`t so dumb. Duffel bag, arriving in my spawned in karin kurma, pretend to rob some cash( duffel bag makes It way more realistic) then having a massive shootout and escaping in my kurma. Just shows how much fun you can have in this game. Shame there aren't more interiors. You have a good field of fire and as only one street leads there you can use proximity mines to provide a little surprise for the cops. And you have some cover from helicopters there. You beat me to it That place is perfect, I usually take cover at the front, on that passage under the small catwalk with the health package. Allows me to pick of the cops while still having some decent cover and choppers have a hard time hitting you, just have to watch out for NOOSE guys repelling on the roof of the storage room on the other side. And when things get to heated, you can run to the left back inside to heal up. You just have to be carefull, since cops will try to flank you. Some will rush up the catwalk which exposes you to gunfire, some will come from the left and if you look to your right (looking at the catwalk) their might be cops taking cover at the end behind those logs and firing shots at you every now and then. MrDeSanta Posted June 10, 2015 Share Posted June 10, 2015 I found out that the best time i have shooting the cops is when i blocked their path/entrance with the car so they can`t jump me from different directions. If there`s an interior with more than 1 entrance i block 1 entrance using a vehicle. Because otherwise they are coming from every direction and i can`t last more than 10 minutes unless with Trevor`s rage. The example for this is Chef`s lab. It has 2 entrances and if you take a cover behind the counter there will be also cops coming at you from the side entrance while you`ll concentrate on those who come in front. And you`ll be dead soon. So i ussually block the back entrance with some car and they can`t go in through that entrance. And then i can focus on the front entrance in peace. I can last endless amount of time this way. I ussually waste my ammo before i even die. One of my best locations is the garage behing the barber in SS. Just block the entrance with the car or SUV and have some fun. Then hop in the car and loose the cops in the SS airfield. I also find SS airstrip one of the best locations for loosing the cops. Because even tho they keep spawning right infront of my face, i still have enough time and space to turn my direction quick enough before they spot me. I can loose 5 stars there with ease. As for the amount of cops going at you at 5 stars, that`s just ridiculous. I did a test with using these cheats; invincibility cheat+explosive bullets cheat. I used only a minigun. You can imagine the masacre i did and i still hardly ever managed to kill all the cops before another set of them spawned. Shoot 2 choppers down, 3 seconds later another 2 of them spawn. Shoot all the cops and FIB guys, wait 1 second another set of them spawn. It`s f*cking ridiculous man. But i had alot of fun killing those pigs. Oh and not to mention having a 5-star chase when in duke o death. That`s just f*cking legendary. The best f*cking car in the whole GTA universe. You can shoot cops and people on the street and you only have to take care of the helicopters. Shame there are not more interiors for shootouts.
