Rockstar and modding online.

I wanted to ask whether there has been some information from Rockstar regarding all the modding during online sessions.

At the moment I don't think I'll play GTA V online with these issues there.

Last time I played..

1. Joined an online session, spawned in my garage.. immediately someone was spawning money bags on my preferred bike (was still inside).. I left to join another session. Was kinda annoying, because I couldn't ignore the money bags, if I wanted to do something. (didnt pick any up, which was hard since the spawn locations)

2. Another session joined, 1 guy near me on the street was.. driving? an UFO.

3. Another session joined, started to complain about an online modder.. Another online modder thought I was referring to him and he teleported to me.. stickied himself to me, while he was still in his car. Ofcourse he wanted to provoke a reaction, so I left yet again.

Ofcourse my last heist attempt also got ruined by someone teleporting/bombing from inside a kuruma..

Is there any chances these will be fixed, or will it be like GTA stories?.. which became unplayable online due to all the players, trying to crash any and/or every server. Which happened so often after a while, you could not play for 5-10 minutes.

Now.. it's harder to find a game without modders than to find a game without modders

Simple answer is no because R* really could careless right now they'll only ban people if they're system flags it such as money or something else or someone reports them but the chances of online modding going away completely is never going to happen...

 

The best thing you can do is ignore it as much as you can, These modders like attention so if you start talking about them or telling em they're crap you're basically giving them what they want.

 

I just ignore them and go about my way and they loose intrest and go do something else.

upgrade, there are no mods on current gen. Nothing can be done about last gen, unless you want to spend hours recording and reporting people.

Yeah I was just in a lobby, modder started blowing me up so I trash talked him, next thing I know he says he's kicking me offline and I'm gone, still trying to get everything working, I can somewhat get on but I'm only in a lobby by myself. Wish there was a way to stop this.

I tend not to give those modders any attention.. but #3 was a bit ironic, because I complained about a modder in the previous session, which prompted a modder in the current session to harass me..

I mean.. c'mon!

 

Nah, I think it's over.. It wasn't so bad with only a select few modding, but now it's almost every session. It's too anti climatic

Just don't give yourself a billion dollars or something like that.

 

I use mods in solo sessions online in fact i used the Go To North Yankton mod online and other mods and have yet to be in trouble

If it's online.. just do not use mods.

I'm sure they can only monitor excessive changes in your account.. as in.. give yourself a few million.. they can notice.

Teleport yourself around the map, so you wont have to drive that whole minute yourself.. is probably fine (because they simply can't monitor it).

 

But short answer : You don't need any mods online; play the game.

Singleplayer (not a solo session) is fine for mods.

 

If you were thinking about modding yourself some money bags in a solo online session.. then.. meh.. no hope and should be banned.

You won't get banned if someone spawned money on you. Just relax about that, if you didn't load any mods, you have nothing to worry about.

 

That's words from R* support by the way. The amount of tickets saying "A HACKER GAV ME MUNNY WILL I GET BANNED!!1?", R* knows, and won't ban legitimate players.
