Ill Gotten Gains Part 2: Coming Next Month

When does a sequel ever live up to the original? Well, The Godfather II obviously...and Terminator II: Judgement Day - but apart from those two examples...and Aliens of course - but apart from those three examples, name me one good sequel...what? The Dark Knight? Okay, I'll give you that...yes, Toy Story 2 is a decent shout too - but apart from The Godfather II, Terminator II, Aliens, The Dark Knight and Toy Story 2...and The Empire Strikes Back - apart from those examples...and a few others... a sequel will rarely live up to the original...

Part 2 will be bringing in Liberty City and North Yankton.

 

Oooh boy, you're throwing down the gauntlet with that prediction!

 

I hope part two brings the casino/nightclubs and/or mansions...but I dunno...here's hoping Rockstar gives us hints when Part 1 drops.

as we all know R* has already shone the light on the important things that will be coming with part 1, couple of new cars, air vehicles, guns, clothes, accessories.. i doubt that we are going to see such things as mansions or the casino/night clubs make an appearance in this update since if they were coming R* would have hyped the dlc with them or even make a trailer, but hey it's R*, who knows...

i know that we haven't got our hands on the update yet, but it seems just like most of the past updates like I'm Not A Hipster and The Business update which delivered similar things that Ill Gotten Gains part 1 will deliver as we saw on the newswire. those past 2 updates weren't that much of a game changer like Heists that changed the whole gta online experience as we know it or High life/Independence day that introduced new apartments which gave the game a fresh feeling.

with that said, what do you think part 2 will deliver? will it be just another shipment of new vehicles, guns, cloths..? or something that can be as massive as mansions/houses in vinewood hills, new interiors, or the casino/bahama mamas finally opening?

 

Part II brings in the casino and night clubs, a few aliens, zombies and a jetpack, as well as north yankton and the ability to take sh*ts in any toilet you can find in the game, including the golden ones in the newly added mansions. Too bad the strippers will all be removed and the strip club becomes a prayer room after that.

I reckon part two will bring interior customisation. The ability to buy expensive works of art to hang on your walls and designer furniture and so on. Probably a golden golf club to beat your rivals to a bloody pulp amongst a few other weapons.

I want it to bring more loading screens to sit at. The loading screens have made this game really fun.

The casino will never happen, reasons have already been specified in another thread. that why so many leaks have been found regarding a casino heist on singleplayer and it clearly says opening soon. It's one thing saing nothing has been confirmed but it's another thing denying sometimes that is clearly coming true

I'm forced to agree with my colleagues... Part 2 will include some golden strippers and Yusuf making a appearance, perhaps with the opening of Bahamma Mamma West. If you remember in 4 he was talking about opening new clubs all over the world! Hehe I really hope he makes a return, that character would make the best mission contact, so much fun to play with in 4!

 

 

 

Back OT: In all seriousness; From a marketing/sales perspective though, I do have the firm belief that R* will present us with everything under the sun in the first two iterations of the Ill gotten gains DLC, in a effort to drain our accounts as much as possible... Then in the third installment, hit us with "the dream purchase" (Mansions), which will be prohibitively expensive (3-5 mil+), this of course, would be in a effort to sell us Shark cards!

 

Just a theory, but it would be a very sound marketing strategy...

I think part 1 is the goods, and part 2 is the Ill Gotten Lifestyle.

 

Introduction to Mansions, Casino, Night Clubs. Part 1 was to look like the lifestyle, Part 2 is actually your character living in that lifestyle.

 

I can imagine R* go with part 2 as "Since you now look like a rich man, now you have to live like a rich man."

GTA and other real-world based games are bound to have signs or things that say "Opening Soon". It's just there for looks.

The others are just "rich stuff" updates. When are we going to get a GTA:SA/Saints Row over-the-top crazy update? Hellish masks, outlandish weapons and f*cked-up in-your-face cars. That sounds like a really sh*tty update. The reason the hipster update stands out is the fact we got that in lieu of heists which were supposed to be spring...two days before the end of spring was surprise I'm not a heister update!

kinda true, there are a lot of houses indeed that arent used yet coud fit a so called car garage and a interior

still most houses...it woud be unlikely to have 10 car garages with them

I just want even more property limits. 30 cars is not enough. We should at least be able to own like 80% of the cars at one time. It's a win win cus they'd get even more shark card sales for that.
