The thing is just TOO DAMN POWERFUL. It, at NOT EVEN FULL SPEED, can throw a Tipper out of it's way like it's nothing. HEAD ON. Not even the Insurgent can do that, the Insurgent will damage it, and maybe kill the driver, but won't push it.

 

So, if someone is chasing you, you're f*cked. It's heavy and it's armored. Bad combo.

well maybe because armo-kuruma is considered online counterpart whereas D.O.D simply SP counterpart

though armo-kuruma is fast ( including double turbo ) , the top speed is still higher than most sportcars

If the DoD had the same (or similar) abilities to the Armoured Kuruma then at least there would be some variation in Freeroam.

 

I'd never get the Kuruma as I don't like the way it looks but the DoD would be a good alternative... and i'm on a Mad Max trip at the moment so it'd be great for that too Maybe the Duke would be a little more tail happy than the Kuruma, being a muscle car... but some people like that sort of thing.

 

Seems ridiculous that there are two armour plated cars in the game, but only one of them is allowed in GTAO.

For this one there's no logical reason to make it unvailable. R* just failed.

Primary reason I'd really have liked the Duke O' Death to come to online is because it looks so much better than the armored tub Kuruma. Like Coleco said, it has a Mad Max kinda-vibe to it. I'd drive it because it looks awesome, the armor and weight are a bonus. In comparison driving the Kuruma makes me feel like a scrub, I only drive it because it's armored.

 

Doubt DoD will ever be added though. One can dream...

 

In my opinion more if not all cars should have had armored versions, where you can go past the 100% armor upgrade to add armor plating à la Kuruma or Duke O' death. Guess that would have been too much work modelling-wise though. At least there would have been much more variety.

My old Dubsta 6x6 sure could make anything I hit fly, if you got the Right Speed and Momentum going. I used to Drive back and Fourth making Vehicles Fly on the Straight aways in Between PB and LS.

It's hardly powerful when compared to Kuruma and Insurgent. It's basically the Duke with armored feature. Plus only the driver can shoot but only in the front side. True it can withstand 2 explosives, but other than that, it's much weaker than the two armored online vehicles.

There are still thousands of them sitting in garages online waiting to fire back into life. The day will come brothers. Have faith. It wasn't overpowered,you died within seconds in the rooftop rumble garage and it had less bashing ability than the insurgent. Overall its somewhere between the kuruma and insurgent. I don't miss it as much as I much as the stored Marshall but it was certainly one of the better thing that ever happened to GTA online.

 

No blacklist means it's coming back quite soon I'd say.

The DoD was made for returning players, for the single player mode ONLY, seeing as a lot of you have forgotten. Why do you think we have the Kuruma and Insurgent? R* can revisit availability of cars at any time. If R* had truly wanted the DoD single player only, with zero intentions of it being online they'd have blacklisted it to begin with. So your logic is flawed, it was permitted in the online world and STILL is. It's just was never officially availabile and since it was glitched in, R* nerfed it to death - literally. I always found it odd it wasn't blacklisted. As for the Kuruma? F*ck that thing, little ricer burner. I drive it for protection in open lobbies and hiests, but the Kuruma is chickenscratch compared to the DoD. The DoD would send the Kuruma flying off the pier like a hotwheels car.

 

The real question why are you a spoil sport? I'd love a little insurgent on DoD action. DoD would f*ck the insurgent up. It would be bring balance to the twerps that grief lobbies with the thing. Surely having a car which would send an insurgent flying and the gunner on top cartwheeling 50 feet in the air to their death would be a thing of beauty no?

GTA online needs to keep feeding money to rockstar for... Well the entire lifespan of the ps4 at least. They will have a very long list of updates they have scheduled. The DOD will be on one of them you can bet you life on it. The question is when.. It's the most desired car in the game and that means profit, at a cost to the company of nothing as its ready to go. Theres no IF in the equation, only when.

Here's the thing, most of us still find the game enjoyable and play it because we like it. Sorry most of us don't agree that rockstar is doing a good job. It's called constructive criticism for a reason. Seems like this forum has an issue with that concept.

 

Not everyone is going to agree with how the game is ran. Doesn't mean we hate the game nor do we find it less entertaining, it could be better.

If you don't believe for one second that rockstar won't undo it exploding, than I don't know. I honestly see them releasing it for online. And all honestly them leaving it online but only a garage queen kinda went against your own point. It maybe online for a select few but its still online and on the "servers".

 

Edit: Knowing rockstar I wouldn't be surprised if they made it free for the people that didn't glitch it to get back at the people that did.
