Reporting somebody on GTA5 Online?

Here's The GTA O Flowchart of Reporting

Lets say you see someone legitimately hacking (yes legitimately modding the game. Not using a glitch. Not because you got rekt by a legit player)

and you report that person.

 

Did you provide video/photographic proof?

yes > R* may do something. Maybe ban. Maybe a Live Stream with them. Maybe nothing

no > you're wasting your time

 

Did you create a thread on GTA F about how the hacker ruined your online experience and how R* should ban them?

yes > you fool

no > good. We don't need 80000 more of them

I was in a lobby and decided to kill some people and like 10 people in group and I killed 3. One guy was in passive mode and he was still be able to shoot, as he was in passive while i shot him 10 times with assault shotty and he shot me 2times and I died? He ended up killing me 11 times and I just killed him once because I used RPG to explode a car. I can get him down to half health, then he'll become invincible after.

 

I was going to report him. But it said if I sent report, they would review and if wrong it would terminate or ban my account. I've never reported somebody before. So I'm scared of sending a report because if it doesn't see him doing it, I'll get action taken against me. I don't know what to do. I messaged him "Stop with the passive bug." He said - "I don't give a f*ck."

 

I just left the lobby.

 

Has anybody reported somebody on GTA5 online? And what happens if you do? I'm on Xbox One.

Honestly, nothing happens. Rockstar has said they receive tens of thousands of reports each day and a computer deals with them. I've been reported 100's of times and nothing, not ever.

They might lose their 5% bonus for good reports if you report them. Leaving is really your only option, rstar and just about any company don't care.

You're scared about reporting someone? In game reports do nothing unless a 100 people report in a short amount of time. Submitting a Rockstar ticket with proof will get you farther. You will NOT get in trouble for making a false report if you strongly believe they were cheating. I know OP is telling the truth too because I've seen this kind of God mode before. Please report them OP.

I've reported tons of hackers, wall breachers, and greifers and never got terminated. Never had any proof either.

I have a god mode dude in a Deathmatch clip that i was going to upload to YouTube and i was going report him to rockstar.

But then I smoked some indica and remembered its just a video game and i had done the right thing by just leaving the Deathmatch, taking the Loss, plus I had already "taken it out" on some poor souls in the ensuing Deathmatches.

 

Maybe the next guy wont be so lucky. lol.

Obviously if a players account has enough reports then measures are taken. I usually go to public chat and ask everyone to report also, usually within a few minutes the culprit leaves the session. Probably out of fear as opposed to a kick.

My lvl 68 character got reported 5 times in a session for getting accused of modding for having a high K/D, yet Im still playing like nothing. The in game report system does jack sh*t, unless there hacking then you got something worth reporting about which would actually get seen if you email them with pics/videos of the incident.

Think how many times people are playing legit and someone gets mad and reports out of spite, You probaly have to rack up so many to get in trouble.

If you are on Xbox One or 360, don't report them to R*. It's useless.

Report them to MS using your console. They will get an account and/or a console ban.

You want to cheat? Go Playstation, they tolerate that kind of sh*t.

Report them to Microsoft / Xbox and they'll handle that a bit more efficiently. 

 

Welcome to the forums - definitely check the date for the last post on a thread though... some people on here almost get a heart attack when they see these threads being dug up from the grave!

How does this work? He posted 52 mins ago, joined 50 mins ago. First post he finds and comments on is 5 years old and must have been buried
