What's with the whole "kid" calling?

When somebody calls me "kid" I assume they're a kid themselves. It's a funny insult. Used to crack me up that the ultimate gaming insult (which is not as popular anymore, I don't think) was "bad kid" or abbreviated "BK." I used to get called that in Halo, and I'd have to patiently explain to them that 1) I'm a 40 year old adult who is married and owns a house, and 2) I just smoked them without really even trying.

Cause 99% of the the time, calling someone "kid" is spot on.

I would like to see the people calling out these "bad parents" to their faces, but end of the day they are just sitting safely in their homes throwing the same derogatory insults they claim they are reacting over the anonymous safety of the internet, just as bad as any screaming squeaker imo

I call people "Kid" when they sound younger than me. Not even really meant to make anyone mad. Just a fact. I'm still technically a kid. I don't get mad when people call me a kid, either.

 

Now, when someone calls me son, then it gets weird. Or a certain racial slur. I'm a pale white kid from Georgia, you could not be further off.

I don't even call people kid because it typically makes you sound insecure about your own position imo. I usually say big words they don't understand, they usually tell me about how they've f*cked my mom, apparently her milkshake brings all the boys to the yard.

op it's because about 70% (probably "only" 60%) of the gtao community are children below 15 years old (my guess based on my and others experiences).

so if you call somebody "kid" (without even hearing his voice over mic) you are likely to be right.
