So no. 3.1 isn't enough. The good news is, we still have alot of time till the updated drops, and it's to stay, no worries.

It normally costs me about 13 mill to buy everything in the update for both my characters. Sitting on 11 mill now so I feel being broke is coming soon. My thoughts are to try and do the criminal master mind challenge twice to get about 24 mill.

I'm fairly sure you can only do criminal mastermind once.

It depends on what you have vs what you want. My main guy has three 10 car appartment/garages, all the clothes I want, a boat, a couple of planes, a buzzard, a tank that I have used exactly twice in over a year, all weapons with max ammo, and amongs my 30 fully upgraded cars/bikes, I have a Zentorno, Turismo, Infernus, Z-Type, armoured Kuruma, Insurgent, Casco, Monroe - all around or over half a million bucks before mods. $3,1 Million would be enough for me - I have a feeling that the Osiris will be about $1.5M, and the Stirling about $750K, so with mods you might just have enough for a few guns and coats, or possibly the Virgo. If you don't have everything you want, then no, 3.1 mil is not alot.

 

As it happens, I have $16M so I feel rich with that.

Just saying I do not plan on spending any money until the update and I don't plan on buying any pegasus vehicles. I only plan on buying the Osiris and some clothes. If I stick to my grinding method I can probably net another 3 million.

It's enough to keep it going for a while, but you'll be short on cash if you buy the new dlc stuff. 15+ mil is on the safe side.

 

I agree with this amount being the minimum. I think people are forgetting this is a two part DLC, so who knows what else there will be to buy------unless they pull a Rockstar and release the Osiris in Part 1 and the other car(s) in Part 2 of the DLC. But its possible there may be more new cars to buy in Part 2 of the DLC, that would be massive.

 

So if anyone has 15M, be happy since there will always be stuff you shouldnt spend on until you have luxury spending cash and dont forget that it has been announced that this upcoming weekend will be a DOUBLE GTA$$$ event, so there will be plenty of money to make if you make time to play.

I might just buy clothes and then buy the cars after the double cash weekend.

$ 3.1M is a lot of money. That's about thirty-one hours worth of grinding contact solo missions. Even when doing heists with friends this still represents a non-insignificant time investment.

 

It should be enough to buy you the Osiris, Stirling, most of the clothes you want and the weapon. It probably won't cover the gold Swift or Luxor but those are about as useful as nipples on a breastplate anyway.

 

How much money constitutes "a lot" depends on your perspective. Once you've been playing for a long time your perspective on money becomes a bit warped - once you have most of what you want, money starts piling up.

Works out at about 12-13 Pacific Standard finales... depending on whether or not you get a decent cut that is..

 

IF you avoid buying aircraft then it should be ample for buying the cars etc... though one cash drain I find is the clothing.. especially since my main character's a bit completist in that respect..

3 million dollars is an ok amount of money,but not really a lot.If you buy 1-2 pegasus vehicles or 3-4 luxury cars,you´re broke.I guess anything over 5 million is a good amount of money,and anything over 10 million is a lot.

to be honest anything beyond 2.5 mil is enough to get most things done, beyond 5 even more so

beyond 10....if you have everything you want it doesnt realy matter

It depends on what you want to buy. It's decent if you ask me. I just want some clothes and a car or two, that's it. I'm not the kind of player that buys everything from an update.

 

I'm currently rank 74, with $2.7M in the bank and think that's enough. A few weeks ago I bought a Buzzard and was left with literally $0, got to the point where I had to kill a few NPCs just to get $200 to request the Buzzard from Pegasus. lol I wanted to have at least $1M by the update and look, I might have $3-3.5M by Wednesday.

 

Free roam is a waste of money. I had finished a deathmatch and kept the weapons for that session and was like "What the heck, I'll have some fun.", not even 5 minutes in and I was $12K in the hole, $4K alone was from blowing up two personal vehicles. lol

I just hit 4M, and much like some people here I don't buy everything. I have an attack chopper that more than does the job, I have a plane I never fly and the game is nice enough to give a few free ones at the airports. I literally drive nothing but my zentorno, turismo and kuruma but will be buying the new cars if the performance deems it or if they're just flat out sexy.

 

4M will get me through this, but I expect to be under 2 when I'm done purchasing.
