Anyone ever destroyed the three Hydras in Vertical Bird before the cha

Ok, during the mission, there's 4 Hydras: two of them on those platforms that raise themselves when you enter a Hydra, one inside the ship, and one that takes off as you approach the top of the ship. Has anyone ever managed to destroy three of these jets in order to avoid the chase portion?

It is fairly easy to do for them all. The problem is the program will not allow for it.

The game crashes when there is no crash jet.

 

I have got them all a few times but since the game crashes, there is no point to it. (PS2, PC v2 games)
