Ill Gotten Gains DLC (Weapon Discussion Thread)

Over in the Ill-Gotten Gains thread we've been picking this gun apart and I think that discussion continues nicely here.

I personally feel like this gun is based off of the Knight's Armament Company PDW or a Sig Sauer. Both guns are about 5 lbs., making them perfect for a new SMS category. However, these weapons are operated with gas pistons in the barrel to allow Assault Rifle damage from a much smaller arm. So, technically, if you replaced the gas power with Coil technology you'd have the same kind of gun (at least in GTA standards).

An SMS weapon with assault rifle power sounds, to me, like a good fit for a new GTA weapon. And, it would make this gun special and unique in it's category. So, while I also at first insisted that this would be some sort of Saint's Row style electrical weapon, after researching PDWs I'd say it's much more conceivable that we're getting an SMS on steroids.

Trying to compare a fictional weapon to things IRL seems a little overkill.

Seriously?? Because Rockstar doesn't base anything in the GTA series on real-life counterparts. Surely, Los Santos isn't based on Los Angeles and the .50 Pistol isn't based on the Desert Eagle.

Try harder the next time you talk sh*t. Or, at least think before you speak.

TBH none of the DLC weapons, aside from the homing launcher and marksmen, have really been "better" than what we already had from the start. I'm not expecting big gains over the other SMG's from this newest piece.

Okay...so I assume you don't use the Special Carbine? Or the Proximity Mines?? And, if the SMS category is so awesome already, please explain why everyone I know prefers to use the Auto Pistol from vehicles rather than the Uzi...

I'm getting the vibe that you just like to talk sh*t but don't like to do the research to back any of it up.

It's just a video game LMAO why take things so seriously for some make believe entertainment? Must be lacking something IRL department.

I didn't realize bullets stop moving after 300 yards in real life. There is no comparison besides ascetics. Please take the stick out of your ass, I'm not impressed.

i don't know why is everyone already speculating that this weapon will be some sort of an ''electric'' weapon just because its manufactured by coil. i can't tell why coil is the chosen one either, but look at the magazine and the ejection port ffs. its either a new carbine or some kind of an SMG.

No, the only thing I take seriously are Try Hards who have no idea that they are talking out of their ass. You came into this thread throwing uneducated shade, got called out for it, and then changed the subject to personal attacks on my RL.

Either counter point or move the f*ck on.

Coil is based on Tesla, hence the electrical element. You could replace has-powered pistons with battery operated ones and get the same effect. Every other Coil product in the game has the electrical element involved, so the educated guess says the PDW will as well.

Same for those super cars and there are dozens of threads, anyway the manufacturer may be irrelevant, but I hope that's not the only tint available for this gun

Yeah, while given the small ejection port i'd normally be in agreement, but I just found it interesting that COIL does'nt product any other standard munition weapons, all of them are energy based. We'll find out here shortly what the deal is either way! ;)

You're an idiot and this thread and the term "speculation" are obviously over your head. Your troll attempt was noble, but has ultimately failed. I mean, who WOULDN'T want to live in a World of make believe and GTA?! That sounds AWESOME!!

May I suggest you move on and try harder next time. I'm gonna go back to making educated speculations...

OT: I was just thinking that the in-game version appears to have a collapsible stock. Not saying that it'll come into use in game play, but it does give a nod to the gun being an SMS style weapon: Stock down in car and Stock up when in combat. I know I'm probably reading too much into something small, but I figured I'd make the observation since that's what the thread is for.

None of the DLC weapons, aside from the homing launcher, marksmen and proximity, have really been "better" than what we already had from the start. I'm not expecting big gains over the other SMG's from this newest piece. The hype is for nothing I'm betting, only the fan boys will be jumping up and down. The butt hurting truth.

Look who just added proximity mines to the list that they posted earlier in this thread...

We heard you the first time, dude. I even hit you with a counter point and you went off on some rant about sticks in asses and playing make believe. We were having a constructive thread where we were inviting educated speculation and then you came in here attacking said speculation with personally aimed vitriol. You're a troll, nothing more...I mean, you just joined these forums 3 HOURS AGO and you're already picking a fight. Go away, no one wants you here.

Well, at least I can continue on throughout my day knowing that we've done a good deed by giving this poor soul all the attention that he was denied by his parents. Then again, if it was my kid, I'd probably ignore it, too.

Carry on off-topic and you'll each get a 24 hour ban. End of story. The DLC is out in 2 days, stop chewing at each other's throats and let people discuss and speculate in peace.
