Kiinted
I am trying to think of ways to share some fun with Vice City. I originaly made the "GTA3 Walkthrough" with Video clips for each misson, so it got me thinking when it came to Vice City what could be done. I have decided to invite everyone with a video capture card to record some fun things to do while in Vice City. This could be things like stunts, missions, cruising, whatever. The only thing I would ask is that there is some form of purpose to what you are doing. My first movie (to demonstrate) is simply riding the PJC 600 from North Point Mall to the army base to get the hunter, then hightailing it back to Vercetti Estate. I call it "Getting Home The Hard Way" ... Oh, I forgot to mention I have 4 police stars (tried 6 but couldnt do it - army is lethal) Video Details: Location - http://www.cairns.com/~mickydee/vcc-P1aGu3-ep01.zip Encoder - XVid - http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html Size - 320X240 Filesize - 19mb Time - 5mins I also did another video before this one (to prove a point), which is the Hunter video. Its basicly me flying around shooting things in the Hunter. Not much more than that, I end up blowing myself up. Video Details: Location - http://www.cairns.com/~mickydee/hunter.zip Encoder - XVid - http://www.divx-digest.com/software/xvid.html Size - 320X240 Filesize - 38mb Time - 10mins For others doing this, please keep file size to a minimum, aiming for video quality is OK, but to keep things sane, keep filesizes under 50mb please. Also, if using some funky DivX encoders, please tell everyone the video details as I did above. Enjoy, and I hope to see more.
Edwards
How about, in addition to what the codec is, where to get it? sysnode.org

WidowMaker
Not bad, although flying around randomly shooting off the chaingun/missles on the hunter isn't particularly intresting or impresive, the quality and length was good. Try to put together some action sequences or something rather than a single long event. And ffs don't play spanish radio while you are at it! Kiinted
A capture card is a card for your computer which has video inputs so you can record things ... think of it as a digital VCR.
