Trouble with .ASI files

It seems that all of the mods (including script hook, LUA, etc) keep becoming SYMLINK Files. I don't know what that is but it stops them from working. Every time I start GTA V, it works, and then when I exit the game, they turn into these SYMLINK files. Anyone know what I need to do to stop this?
