The games are barely even comparable. Thematically and tonally, all of those games are worlds apart. The gangster aspect of SR/GTA isn't enough to really compare the two, as they're so mechanically different.

It should be fully removed from all modes featuring PvP.

 

It is the equivalent of catch up in racing.

If you don't like something then don't do it. Just don't go around telling people they shouldn't do it either or that it should be removed. Auto aim isn't game breaking.

This. This is also a pointless thread that would've been better off in one of the other numerous pro free aim down with auto aim bullsh*t threads. It certainly did not warrant a new one.

 

There's also a reason it's called gta traditional initially

Its not only confusing that people are yelling about a mechanic that has existed since GTA 3... But that they CONTINUE to do so. Press a button to lock on, another to shoot and they're dead. Auto aim is a part of the GTA franchise. You don't see people going onto starcraft forums complaining that the entire game takes place from a top down view. If they did I imagine the community would tell them to GTFO for playing the wrong game.

Auto aim in ant previous gta titles was easy. Auto aim for v is to compete with ai aimbots when your timeframe to play is limited

Most free aimers are cheaters anyway. They buy a mouse for their console.

Auto aim is bad soley because it divides the community. I have yet to play a capture or lts because theres really nobody to play them with. Gtao would have been fine with FAA while beginning (its basically the same sticky from other shooter) and Free Aim only once you hit 135. Whats better is subjective but theres no place for auto locking in PVP, especially not one with an "economy". End of the day, if youre a Free Aimer this game isnt for you as it was made for casuals. It could be more competitive but i think R* effed up by not having a crosshair on screen when you have a weapon out. It takes practice and getting used to and the majority of the community loves easy mode. Just look at Heists. I had to jump back into assisted just to finish em and they were anti climactic because of how easy they were. If i hadnt gotten invited to P.S after Series A, i would have never even tried to finish them. No challenge. Theres no such thing as free aimers thinking theyre elite, i think theyre just people that like to actually play the game. I cant go to a b-ball court with stilts on without expecting to get laughed at by the guys that put in the leg work to dunk on their own. Its expected and thats why these threads start wars.

I have played a lot of shooters on consoles with auto aiming. The Last of Us, Max Payne 3 etc. All of these games have unoticeable auto aim that slighlty helps you with aiming. GTA auto aim on the other hand is playing the game for you. You can even sometimes aim at enemies that are not on the screen. Also you can always do headshot with 100% chance by pressing aim + camera up in split second. What were they thinking? They did a great job with Max Payne 3 aiming. I hope they'll fix it soon.

 

 

Theres nothing to 'fix' you're being extremely thick here. The majority of the population playing doesn't care about realism or learning to be a great shot, Hence auto aim. If you don't like it then DONT PLAY AUTO AIM SERVERS MORON
