Rockstar doesn't spill all the goods, they chose there words very carefully. If anything it's based on previous expectation; you're going to feel pretty stupid come next week when it's nothing but cars, guns and clothes...

Every update comes with a new activity, contact missions etc..something. . even when it was beach bum, high life ,heist all came with new features

Um yeah... You know, you really have to love it when new members who just joined the forums last week, feel the incessant need to "educate" those of us who have been here for years, studying every aspect of every DLC, rumor, speculation and supposition in the GTA world!

 

In short, their trolling you dude, because you are trying to make all of this hay from their deliberately ambiguous, grammatical style. It's all well and good to speculate, that's the reason we're all here, but if your going to do it and expect to be taken seriously, it will help you a great deal if you were to back up your assertions, with something a little bit more than a misplaced word.

 

There are always gameplay improvements with DLC, but this can be in a multitude of forms and are'nt always visible or playable... However this is'nt to say that R* always chooses their words carefully, in fact, they have a LONG and VERY well documented history or F#cking up the time and tenure of their press releases.

 

Our pessimism comes from our LONG experience of R* saying one thing and doing another (prime example Heists coming Dec 2013, Feb '14, May, August, Fall, Dec) amongst many others... So we in tern, are selective in how deeply we choose to read in R*'s posts. If you were expecting otherwise when you came here, then I would highly recommend you stick to Youtube, god knows Domislive will be more than happy to provide you your fix!

Are you going to make the same thread four days before part 2 of ill gotten? How about the next dlc? There's a pinned topic for speculation and one specificly for talking about part 1. No one has any idea what to expect with the exception of cars, clothes, guns and a few pvp modes....you're new here so we thought we'd have a little fun, but you're a stick in the mud who is taking yourself and this update far too seriously.....letitgo.

Most likely we'll see people like the OP bitching next week that the things they think are being added actually weren't, and they'll declare a holy war on Rockstar.

Believe me, I appreciate your enthusiasm, I genuinely do; there's nothing I would love more than for R* to add some truly game changing features with the upcoming update, but it's literally going to be vehicles, guns and clothes. No they don't; a few updates may have come with some new kind of activity, but most were the standard Cars and Clothes deal. Let's go through them:

 

Beach Bum Update: Vehicles, guns and clothes

 

Valentines Day Massacre Special: Themed vehicles, guns and clothes.

 

The Business Update: Vehicles, guns and clothes.

 

The High Life update: Vehicles, guns, clothes and a new apartment interior (Truly game changing!)

 

The I'm Not a Hipster Update: Vehicles, guns and clothes.

 

The Independence Day Special: Themed vehicles, guns and clothes.

 

The Flight School Update (generally considered the worst update): Vehicles, guns, clothes, parachutes and the Flight School.

 

The Last Team Standing Update: Vehicles, guns and clothes.

 

Festive Surprise: Vehicles, guns and clothes.

 

The Heists Update: Vehicles, guns, clothes plus an array of new gameplay features including Heists.

 

Right, so lets review. Out of 10 updates, R* has had two where they've added additions to gameplay other than vehicles cars and guns. New Deathmatches, LTS', Captures aren't really anything new, other than being new maps for a gameplay feature that's already been played to death.

 

Your logic is void.

Maybe we could finally hire some bodyguards,either gang members or maybe even some pofessional bodyguards.It would make sense,our characters are implied to be rich now and rich people often have some protection with them in case someone tries robbing them.

Mainly the creators (race creator, etc.) and the ability to buy a 2nd and 3rd property (which weren't quite new gameplay features, but people were all over them). You also skipped when they added some houses for rent (was that the Independence Day update?). And Lester's assassination target (not sure when that was), and Lester's new phone ability (cops turn blind eye).

 

Granted, the only BIG drop of new gameplay features was the Heists update, but it's far from the only time they've added new stuff that affected gameplay.

^ Agreed, new stuff (whatever it is) keeps the game interesting. Even the updates I bought very little stuff from, I've been happy they added them. I'd like them to get back to a small update every couple of months, with a larger one once or twice a year.

Granted I might of put the list together hastily, but it's not like any of those features truly offered anything long term like Heists did. The bulk of those features (with the possible exception of the Creator updates and the property slots) Lester's Blind Eye ability, Assassination Target, and Houses (with the same interiors as apartments) hardly broke the internet, and weren't strictly new either; literally variations of already existing gameplay features.

 

EDIT: This is getting exceedingly off topic also; I'm not bashing any of the Updates that R* have given us, I love GTAO as much as the next idiot. This was literally, case in point aimed at gtabeast420 to not get his hopes up based on a bit of 'cryptic' information on a Rockstar newswire post.

I got you, no worries. I agree that we're unlikely to get any major gameplay updates this time, if indeed there are any at all; the fact that they've shown us a lot of stuff from this update and not mentioned a single new gameplay feature makes it seem like one is not coming. Maybe in Part II later this summer. I still tend to think that they'll keep updating this game for a while (to keep cash card sales going) and we'll get at least one more major content dump, a la the Heist update (though maybe not THAT major). But I don't think it will come this summer.

Traffic AI in this game is soo atrocious, with cars that weights over 21 tons, getting your fancy car out for a drive can be a frustating experience, so when I roll in my Insurgent, I crash on every NPC vehicle in sight because it just feels soo...Relieving

Whenever I try to take my classics or exotics out for a cruise it's so annoying trying to dodge the mentally challenged AI that try to merge when you're clearly trying to pass them so they can't hit you in the first place.

 

At one point one them literally sped downt the street (in the right lane), veered into the wrong lane and crashed right into my front bumper, he literally sped down the street and crashed into me when I was driving normally.
