"REM" comments are still a thing? I always use double-colon ("::") comments. But to each their own, I guess.

those aren't comments, those are nameless labels that happen to be able to be abused as comments.

OnT: I just found this out, but you can just replace any ydr file within GTA V with the converted one you make, if you don't wanna use FiveM to make them work. Good to test out only one model though

This is just incredible. So Criminal Russia Rage, French Riviera, Gostown Paradise, looks like they may eventually come to GTA V quicker than expected lol (that is if the creators do which may be much longer for Gostown due to the amount of issues MenuET has been having).

Since you guys are making some huge progress with bringing these maps into GTA V I thought I'd make a layout of how I and probably a bunch of others wish the map to be in the future. We can all work something out of course but this should get the ball rolling:

The distance from Liberty City to San Andreas I felt was necessary to not only give the thrill of traveling across the ocean to a brand new world, but also to make room for GTA IV level mods that connect to its map in the event those ever get ported to the game.

I was trying to convert Lae2 from IVSA³

Yeah I got thinking of this too and it's definitely a must when more maps become accessible in the game. There's the North Yankton Airport mod already, so it'd only make sense to have the airport function to bring you to Liberty City and wherever else.

 

I just got thinking of another option which would be to have cruise ships function to travel you to other locations. It could add so much life and activity to the dock area in Los Santos which is rarely explored by players.

 

GTAandStuff The map I made is meant to be focused on Rockstar's modern level of detail. I threw Vice City in there because it could add a little more to the map and hasn't been recreated by Rockstar yet. My initial thoughts were just GTA V's SA, North Yankton, and LC which if we could get those all in one massive explorable map then I'd be happy alone, but then I got thinking of more stuff to throw in there. I'm not ruling out porting the SA map to V at all, I totally think it should be done, just not with the map I shared.

For anyone that wants to use the resource converter but cannot because woooo command line, here's a little rushed UI tool. Get me, remember it's rushed and meant to be a alternative for UI lovers in the mean time OpenIV doesn't come with their solution, so if you find a bug, don't even dare to report it :p

Yeah it would be nice to have San FIerro and Las Venturas. Having them retextured would be a dream.

Maybe in the future asking permission to Flame and use HRT1.4 textures...

The people ask for it, I did, here you have an .IDE/.OPL to .JSON convertor :)

 

1º Press "Convert" buttom

2º Select the folder where you have the .ide file

3º Select the folder where you have the .opl file

4º Go to "C:\Users\YourUser"

5º You will see an "Desktopyourfile.json", rename it and copy on the folder of your map

6º Done ^^
