So I am getting GTA V by sunday or monday. however, I would have to share it with my brother (Not on same laptop) since we don't have enough money to buy another copy. however, what can I do to share it and at same time not to get banned..?

If you're using it on the same network/same IP, then sharing your social club account is probably ok. I'm not saying you should do this, and I'm not saying this is safe to do because I'm sure it will be against Steam/Rockstar ToS.

Any attempt to share accounts outside of your own network is a huge risk, someone posted here recently who did that and got his account permanently suspended.

If you don't access the RGSC account from too many devices AND don't play both copies simultaneously, then that's okay, I think.

No only two laptops, Mine and my brother 's. if we had enough money to buy another copy we would have did so.

No it's ok (if you don't make the donkies lol)... Rockstar isn't here, behind us...
Of course you can play YOUR game (you buy it) on all computers what you have/want.

For now (until when?....) to have the pleasure (or not) to play with our games, we don't have biometric keys on our keyboards and we don't need to have a biometric Gaming passport (for now.....).

The solely member suspended here, is a guy saying: "I play to GTAO at home and at school".

He has a warning (and maybe suspended) because his account was logged in the same time in Two different locations (computers).
In fact and more precisely, this guy has many connections on several computers with intervals of only some seconds. In this case, Rockstar thinks this guy use and share his copy of GTA V/Online (and/or just his social account) with several persons and on several computers.
That's unauthorized by Rockstar.

For steam it's ok, from the moment where others PC are added in the authorized computers = Family sharing, in this case you can try to play a game simultaneously and then to be connect/disconnect from Steam from one computer to other (if the game don't support the offline mode) without risk of ban (for unauthorized sharing account).

Just for info: The member of this forum say its an error from Rockstar, and he say he don't share GTA with friends and think it's impossible that people use his account on the school computer when he's not here. Maybe, maybe not. The thing is Rockstar thinks he share his account and his copy.

Then, you and your brother can play to GTA V & Online with the same copy and the same account. Rockstar can't know you're two people to play on one copy.. except if you say on the chat text: "Lolzzzz i play with my bro's copy... Lolzzz f*ck Cock*"...).

But to make simple, if your Bro play to GTA on your computer (it's ok because in this case i think you don't play) or different computer with your social account, it's not a problem IF you don't try to play together (it's impossible, one of you will be disconnected, but this will be "traced" by Rockstar, and you can have a warning for that, or to be suspended like the other guy). But you can play, you disconnect, and your bro can play after some minutes, disconnect.. wait.. you can play etc...

But you can play (to GTA V) offline too ...

If you're on the same network with different computers, you have no risk (95%) to be suspended/banned but it exists some softwares (provided by the ISPs and/or router manufacturers) allowing to know the personal network IP. Some routers and ISP share on the Net these informations freely..... Then be careful, maybe Rockstar use that to make the difference between a ISP IP (IP provided by your ISP) and personal network IP (provided by your router like 192.168.1.10 for your PC, and 192.168.1.11 for your bro's computer for examples).

But even in this case, Rockstar can't prove there are two different users. You can own Two personal computers and play on it with your copy .... except if one of you yell on chat text or voice "I'm playing on my bro's copy, on my bro's social club account, on the same network, on my own computer.... on my own personal IP..." (lol)
If you have two different Internet connexions (same ISP but different account with two routers then, or different ISPs with two routers then), be careful, don't try to play in the same time, and wait several minutes between you/bro disconnect from the game and your bro/you connect to the game, because in this case, you're (both of you) easily traceable (yes Rockstar can't prove you're two different users, because One person can own Two different connections at home and can own Two computers... but if Rockstar want to know, they can. Officially they need to "ask" (via a lawyer) to your ISP(s) to share the informations about the owners of the internet accounts (if these accounts are owned by the same person, then it's ok... but if these accounts are owned by two different persons, Rockstar can suspend your account and take the time to investigate with you and after decide to ban you or not), but unofficially we know many companies don't care about law and can contact directly your ISP(s) if they have some "friends".....

I installed GTA V on two computers on my local network. Note I bought two copies of GTA V so each computer had its own product key. To test this I ran GTA V on both computers at the same time using the same RGSC login ID. Every time I did this one of the computers got logged out after a few minutes. Once I created a second RGSC login ID to use with the second computer everything ran ok.

This tells me that each installation needs its own unique RGSC login ID. I assume the only way to have more than one RGSC login ID is to have an equal number of product keys.

You might be able to install GTA V on more than one computer using the same product key and RGSC login ID as long as only one login is active at a time.
